It doesn't matter how many goals you let in, if you just lose by the odd goal in the key games it ain't gonna win the league.

But we all know what we mean about Keegan football - cavalier and exciting, but undeniable cracks. Although in terms of not winning the league, I do subscribe more blame to the Batty and Asprilla purchases than the defence.

 

I just think the defence get a raw deal in that they were no way as bad as their rep suggests. And again they were 5th best in the League that particular season.
