Fair point that response was far from constructive. The way I see it, your spot on to point out Brady's defensive frailties, but to suggest Rosie or Dawson could handle the LWB role better doesn't hold up for me as their both very limited going forward (Rosie can't cross and Dawson doesn't have the pace) which is essential for wing backs, so whilst Brady is a liability in defense if we insist on playing with wing backs he's still the best option. I'd pick the other two over him at full back, but in the current system I still think it has to be Brady.
You have to forgive him, he doesn't understand, in the same circumstances his diving Frenchman would have bought them a free kick. We need to get wiser to such ploys.
Ok it was a foul but we lacked an attacking presence. Simpson was weak followed closely by Evans. Steve Bruce was put flanked gy Gus changing his formation.
How about if someone else did what they should have done and marked him? It wouldn't have happened. Evans should have stood up to it. He didn't, you went 1-0 down. If the tables were turned you'd agree with me.
Spot on, we'd have all been outraged if we scored a goal under the same circumstances and it was disallowed for a foul, you just accept it and move on.

Watkiss? are we talking about that useless unknown assistant to Barmby? Brady is a completely different player from the one the season before with us. Of course both Brady and Elmo leave a little to be desired as defensive full backs buts thats what the three CBs are there to help with. It was always gonna be a tough game and had Meyler taken his chance and Elmos shot not been beaten away by their keeper we would have been returning home with all three points again and everyone whingeing on here would be saying fook all about our lack of a goalscorer. Hopefully this will be addressed when Aluko returns and if they can get anything out of Gedo who by Bruce's admission needs to hit the ground running for us...
I doubt anyone would agree with you, unless the tables were turned upside down and the legs were used to beat you to death.
What about Koren, Brady and Elmohamady? I'm assuming you're equally unimpressed after tonight's showing?
Like that Geovanni one that was ruled out for a much less blatant bit of holding in the wall? He then lost his rag and got red carded a few minutes later.
We should just have put a man behind where he stood in the wall then even when he moves we have the gap covered
In actual fact, I believe that Evans should be prepared for something coming at him when he's at the end of the wall. As has been said, teams do it all the time whether it's pulling or pushing. You should expect it. To just stand there and get pushed out of the way is just naive. Teams practice taking free kicks, and defending them. Brighton have practiced that one. In my eyes Evans has just committed two schoolboy errors in the space of minutes. Yes, technically it's a foul but he should be anticipating it.
I thought is was more like 4 silly frees, with one that killed us. I think Fahti may be the answer here..
Yes I am sure they do but to of missed that one you would of had to be a blind requiring a white bloody stick
NO DAMAGE DONE BUT A GREAT OPPORTUNITY HAS BEEN MISSED YET AGAIN. JUST AS WHEN WE PLAYED THE WENDIES IN JAN. The game had 0-0 all over it by the 80th min mark as chances had been missed. But FFS, when you put up a wall it has to do much better and stand firm. What the foook was Evans doing on the end of it. ? One of the bigger and stronger guys should have made sure that ElAbd did not push us about. That is what cost us a point and 2nd place in the end. Frustrated yes as we did not deserve to loose the game. But we move on now to tuesday with Derby at home and 9 points up for grabs in 3 home games.
Spot on. It's ****ing embarrassing how bad we are at those counters. I thought of you after that Meyler breakaway because me and you always moan about us being **** at them. It makes you wonder what we do in training? Do we just practice passing in our own half under no pressure? Even our supposedly better players like Koren are totally ****ing lost when it comes to a vital counter-attack, no one has a clue where to make their runs, they all stand together and we can't even beat the first man with a pass ffs. We are nothing short of diabolical going forward, it's embarrassing, it seems like no matter who we sign we are just utter ****e in the opposition's half. You can say Gedo will magically sort it out on his own but that's what Simpson, McLean, Fryatt, Proschwitz and Aluko were brought in to do but we're no better at all than before we signed all 5 of them and we had Garcia and Bostock as strikers. Ever since we came down into the Championship we've looked total ****e in attack. Meyler and Evans win plenty of tackles but their passes are ****ing awful at times and Koren is just a waste of space about 90% of the time yet we kid ourselves that he's some kind of genius at this level even though he's slow, weak, can't pass or finish and massively naiive. He was our best player going forward though. The wing-backs and back 3 are the only people we shouldn't be criticising in the current set-up.
