    Good game.
Having Chambers and Berra at the heart of defence really lets our full backs get forward.
    Well done Ipswich

Back to back clean sheets to boot!

Looks like the Berra/Chambers combo is here to stay!

It's hard on Tommy but I think this back four will work better for us. Maybe he should think about making himself available for New Zealand again.

Yep but you can't break up a winning partnership.

Chambers and Berra definitely the best pairing, Smith is a decent replacement and is very solid but Chambers and particularly Berra have that bit of class and I think both have better distribution.

Good performance tonight, not perfect but couldn't have asked for much better, still not a big fan of our current midfield set up Skuse just doesn't do enough for me and currently doesn't justify being in the team, lets have a home grown CM. Would still like to see abit more from our wingers aswell but not sure we'll get that if Mick is going to push his fullbacks up, it's going to be one or the other.

Both good goals, great team effort for the first one, infact I'd say it's one of the best team passing goals i've seen under Mick, alot of our goals are from set pieces, percentage football or individual strikes that time we attacked as a team, passed and moved with purpose. Goals like that make it all the more frustrating when we play negative football because Mick is capable of getting us to play good attacking football. And Murphys goal was great aswell, GK could've perhaps done more but great control to hit that and get it on target

TBF Spanish has a point, Tabb was at best average tonight as for Skuse at best he was complete Gash...again, back to back wins and clean sheets but that in no way what so ever has been helped by the inclusion of Skuse, if he had been left out for both games I honestly think our winning margins would have been greater!

MM clearly has a new blue eyed boy?

Just seen Murphy goal, Stockdale should not get beaten from there, at least Murph took on the chance.

As for the other keeper, Deano had a good game tonight, made a couple of decent saves at 0-0.

Back four does have a better shape about it, feel sorry for Tommy but we do look better for the change......now just to sort out the middle of the park, Skuse is gash, get the two Town boys in there and give them ago!

Went to the match tonight and so pleased I did. Best performance I've seen by us in a while.

We weren't perfect by any stretch and Gerks had a great game, but just really enjoyed the match even at 0-0 late on. Also pleased we weren't just lumping it forward all the time, instead some patience in our build ups keeping the ball on the ground. One criticism... Can you guess?... Yes Cole Skuse... Not sure why he's getting picked week on week. He was the one liability for me, either giving the ball away or just playing safe with short passes to his left or right and not showing much desire.

Mings is getting a lot of deserved praise tonight but also Parr was outstanding and not just because he scored.. Really happy with our back 4 at the mo.

Murphy's great goal just topped the night off... Happy trip home down the A12!

Castro, I wouldnt say Gerks had a great game - his kicking lets him down but he did make a couple of good saves
Mings was amazing. It was his forward thinking that got us both goals. He put in the cross of the season so far, nearly got himself a goal and was sound at the back.He is still learning so I not going to put pressure on him - Im sure he will make a few mistakes but there is a chance he could be one of our best finds in recent years.
Skuse spent the whole game with his back to the north stand. I kept a close eye on him and was amazed that first half he was actually looking forward, albeit unadventurously. Second half I think he forgot that we changed ends as everything went the same way as it did in the first. Unfortunatey as we had changed ends this meant everything was going backwards.
Having read MM's glowing report on Tabb in yesterdays paper (hes a proper pro and is automatic first pick basically) then he was another I kept a close eye on and he probably is the eipitany of what seems to be MM's safe and steady ethos. Really never looks like doing anything special but will never do anything costly either.
Anderson on the other side also seems to lack a true attacking threat- maybe my idea of a winger is the total opposite of MM's
Didnt see Murphys goal too well as at the wrong end of the game but initial thoughts were it was either a wonder strike or dodgy keeping.

Nobody else really merits an individual mention. They all done what we expect of them. Our style was different last night. It was the first time in ages I can remember us really trying to keep the ball down and pass along the ground. Not always forwards and in honesty a lot of times side to side but it seems fairly planned - being steady and trying to wait for space to open up in front of them. Personally I think it really needed to add up the pace for it to be both more productive and a little easier on the eye but it was a definate improvement from our longer style game. The tortoise has its head up looking now but can it learn to run?

Good summary Tractorbhoy. As for Murph's goal it was a bit of both,he'd spotted that the keeper was poorly positioned but his shot was struck sweetly.
Was hoping Henshall would come on to replace Tabb, but MM's caution shone through-only one creative player allowed on the pitch.
Another great display from Mings, without wishing to put too much on his shoulders he reminds me a bit of a young Beattie(pace ,power ,comfortable on the ball and fearless in the tackle)Let's hope we can hang onto him if he continues to develop along those lines.
Won't even mention how poor Skuse continues to be(oh dear I have!).

I think that's a pretty honest assessment TB.. Pleased that Deano kept us in the game with some good saves, but yes I remember him giving the ball away too.

I was very close to Murphy's goal... He gambled as he had two bearing down on him and it paid off... Keeper could of done better for sure.

I suppose with Mings and Parr getting forward so much, Micks playing safe in midfield?

No need to play safe in midfield, we only need one defensive midfielder!!
Skuse is just piss poor and has proved me right when i said he would be biggest flop this season.
Tabb is no left winger and would prefer Hyam/Bish in middle.
Just dont rate Anderson, think Stewart or Ambrose will offer more!

I would think that is his reasoning behind Ando and Tabbs inclusion, not sure many of us agree though.

We would certainly be slamming our 'keeper if he let that in.
