The away end is 2,200, I doubt there'll be any problem getting a ticket, they should go on general sale and probably pay on the gate too.
yeh i was thinking the same, it's a pretty expensive and time consuming trip. THat late kick off might put a few off too. Thankfully I'm 30 mins away cheers
I'm lucky this time round , only a two hour drive to Brighton compared to my normal 6 to the kc. Has anybody any idea when they go on general sale, and for some reason I was under the impression tickets wouldn't be on sale on the gate ( can't remember the reason why)
I would imagine the no pay on the day thing floating round is if their form continues as it is that it will be all ticket for us as well to stop their fans coming in our end? (not really paid attention to how close to capacity they're getting so that might be complete bollocks)
For those of you who like old school hip hop (and I do) a LA trio, Ugly Duckling, are also playing Brighton that night (and the Jazz Cafe in London on the Friday night before) so it will be a top weekend. They are good live, check them out on You tube. http://www.uglyduckling.us/web/shows.asp
Think you have problems ours has been moved to a Friday night kick-off means a day off work now and thats due to the university.
I wrote to Brighton to bitch about the time change. This is what I got back from them. I am intrigued by the comment "This decision to alter the time was made by the Football League as each club had its own views on when the match should be played". It sounds to me like we wanted a different time to Brighton, couldn't agree and the Football League stepped in. Thank you for your letter regarding the change of kick-off time for the Hull City match. This decision to alter the time was made by the Football League as each club had its own views on when the match should be played. We had our hands tied by the University of Sussex as they required the car parking facilities, which belong to them, for their own purposes. It was decided that the 5.30pm kick-off was the only option possible, otherwise the match would not have been played. I am sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused. I read on twitter somewhere that Brighton had actually changed the time of the game last month 24th I believe, but Hull City only published it the other day...
At least they gave you a bit more notice - issue with us is also that train tickets bought. I have emailed Brighton but have yet to have the courtesy of a reply.
That is correct i wrote to Brighton police saying they could get trouble with Leeds fans staying down on the friday night reply was we dont expect many staying overnight so we dont need to worry.
Brighton first announced the change of time on their website on the 13th September.. http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/Latest/0,,10433~2449749,00.html While is possible that the decision was made earlier they did not make it public until last week.
