You lost 3-1 to Brighton. That is not a good result. It wouldn't be a good result for any EPL side, but for Chelsea it is an awful result, friendly or not.

Or do you want me to pretend to you that I think it's a decent result?

Non competitive games mean absolutely **** all and are merely designed to bring players back to full fitness. A bad result in a pointless game and you virtually said RDM was getting sacked **** off!

Having said that, I haven't laughed about you losing to Brighton. And, to be perfectly straight with you, I don't necessarily believe it's such a bad thing losing pre-season games, particularly to lower quality sides, as it all comes down to whether or not the manager and his coaching staff and players have been able to learn anything from it. What's the point in playing lowly opposition and slaughtering them if it teaches you nothing about your own squad?
