Brian Howard is a player we've been linked with several times though so it's at least a believable rumour. Not sure what I'd make of Howard signing - he was very good at Barnsley, alright at Sheffield Wednesday and then inconsistent at Reading. Wouldn't be the worst signing, but I feel we can do better.

Rumour based on him being seen in Southampton, and ,of course, there is no other reason for visiting the fair city except signing for Saints! Footballers must be very wary of doing a bit of shopping here or going for a meal in case they are hi-jacked.

Guess there's only so many players around who are available and not at Premier League prices. At the end of the day, we'll probably get players we've never thought of, though I wouldn't mind Jack Cork.
I hope we are aiming for player above those who can't hold a regular place in a Championship side...

From what i saw of him when he played for Sheff Utd & Barnsley he's definatley worth signing and has got Championship experience. Could work well with Chaplow, Hammond etc.

Spiderman is class, we are a completely different team with him. As for playing two headless chickens and an out of favour Championship player across the middle...
