Brobbey needs a player closer to him for hold up play he gets isolated as we for most of the time don't have a runner off him.
Mayenda, Isidor or even Rigg maybe, but none will be tried , as Reg picks the same team game after game imo. We are told he tries all these formations out in training , so we assume none of them seem to have worked. Its all speculation of course.
Hopefully in a game or two we will have some decent alternatives out wide as we have struggled all season with little coming from these positions imo.

Maybe when we get to the golden 40pts the beasts will be unleashed

Actually, there have been quite a lot of changes in he last couple of months if you look at it. Some through injury and unavailablity, some through Regis' choice.

But we largely play with one up font, and Brobbey for now has more or less made that spot his own. But it is our first season back, and almost everyone at the club is learning.

So are we I'd say!

Was of the opinion that Isidor looked totally disinterested at Oxford , I can understand him being disappointed at being pushed down the pecking order behind Brobbey but so have a lot of our Promotion winners throughout the team . It’s no good sulking - it’s no good for him and no good for the team , better to get your head down and graft to try and regain your place . Needless to say I was disappointed in his attitude and application.

I think a few struggled against Oxford not just Isidor .

hes a better goalscorer than his stats here suggest

i get hes missed a few chances but we dont exactly provide him with a lot either

either way a fantastic coup for the fee paid and interesting to see how he gets on as the team and line up develops

re: that reading game goals posted in the other thread, now it is very rare that my memory retains much of anything, but i remember we had 28 attempts that game and scored the 4 (stats flashed up at the end, dunno if they still do that) has me entirely in agreement here, we have lads more than capable of scoring in this league but we need to provide more chances.
