That I genuinely respect, you've taken the politics out and put the UK first, I am with you, I also feel the same dread way about the Marxists on the left, I think Liberals are feeble and always have been but I could never vote for and never will, Farage on the right but I will maintain a right to insist on leave, I am middle of the road and also a democrat.

The two are interlinked, without democracy their is no need for politics.
We can all have our views and debate them , the argument that wins the debate in elections get to rule , it seems such a simple concept, but without it people feel disenfranchised which can be very dangerous.

The reason MPs are getting so much 'stick' is because they ignored a democratic vote.
It's beyond terrible to have death threats to you our your family but ignoring the will of the people some may argue they have brought it on themselves.

It's getting totally out of hand and a GE will only, sadly, increase the vitriol.

it may well not be... I swapped allegiances back in the 80's … after GE I swapped back ..
the world we now live in is vastly changed from the world I WAS BORN INTO AND BROUGHT UP IN.
    THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
made a massive impact on human lives .. we became mechanised machines were basic and needed hands and legs to work them, the need for coal /iron and steel meant for a long time it was still manual labour … and lots of it. Whilst the WW's were devastatingly awful and carnage and loss of life was not human, on reflection they like brakes that slowed a runaway train. Since WW2 there has been a marked difference on how humans think .. for the better eventually.
socialism, nationalism and communism once massive ogres of the human society have been brought to task. The process still continues in placing these 3 traits on the back burner as the rest of the world cast off their differences [try to ] to all live in harmony.
Some will always want what others have but if the whole world was equal it would be dead! If everyone in a country was equal it could not work. The animal kingdom of which we are a part shows a structure that leads from the top is a successful one.
whether we have fancy names for those we vote or not at the end of the day it is the collective that will do what is the most beneficial to those it represents that should receive the support.
there is a few million UK citizens that have more loot, better houses, longer holidays etc than me but my station in life is as I have lived it and I AM HAPPY …
AR IF YOU ONLY VOTE THAT WAY ONCE it may be the most important thing you have or will do in your life ……………...

Wow, I disappear for a week and so much has happened!

There will be a hung parliament as leave voters will split between Tory and Brexit party. Remain voters will split between Libs and Labour. Scotland's a lost cause. The only way their won't be a hung parliament is if Boris and Farage works together, which they said they won't do.

I read a comment on here (can't find it now) that voters in the North who want Brexit won't vote Tories (for obvious reasons). I know a few up North who said they won't vote Tory so whoever said it was correct. But the few up North who I know won't vote Labour either because they voted leave then at the GE they didn't want to vote Tory so voted Labour because labour promised to honour the referendum result. They lied and those up North won't let Labour forget it. Brexit party will win seats for sure. Unless they decide to try Tory again, just to make Brexit happen.

With the Brexit party taking votes from both the tories and Labour, it hands the Lib Dem’s probably the only chance they’ll ever have of gaining power since LLoyd George.

Lloyd George has more chance of gaining power this GE than the LibUnDems.

Splitting leave votes doesn’t seem the best tactic, on the other hand what would the Brexit party want n return , they don’t want Boris’ deal , they’ll only be satisfied with a no deal Brexit, maybe that’s the problem.

I don't want to be contaminated with Farage, Boris should stick with his 'One Nation' Conservative principles, go with the deal as has already been supported by parliament, stand by his promises and offer the referendum independence as stated, don't go or fall for gimmicks and let the nation decide, if we get a rejection, tough, at least he tried, just be honest and accept the result, unlike remoaners.

Farage not standing for election. Shame. It would have been very interesting each week if he was sat in parliament!

I won't vote Labour. I am pretty sure that in Bristol in my constituency where labour have 60%+ of the vote it will matter either.

The North seats will be different. I don't think it is logical to compare Labour voting Grimsby to Southville, Totterdown and Clifton, or areas such as Brislington. Not saying Cleerthorpes isn't a nice place but the demographics are contrasting.

You know my views on this subject , but this antic by Boris in my opinion isn’t the way to go about things. Have a debate by all means , but not by social media or letter, do it through the proper channels . Don’t turn into Trump who makes statements via Twitter and undermines the democratic process, Labour were right to play a straight bat to this strategy.

My labour MP, Kerry McCarthy has betrayed the democratic will of the british people by regularly following the whip of Corbolliks and is unfit to be DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED. .. voted against each time?
    T
HEY along with other parties stated that no matter what deal came back from the EU they would vote it down … an action that was premeditated & undemocratic.
She is sitting on a large majority 2017 [ circa 13k ] but in 2015 when UKIP fielded a candidate [ similar number of votes cast ] it was 4k. in the time since the 2017 GE there has been a lot of new housing in the area and taken up by younger elements as you would expect the only 5 "new families" I know in these projects are all tory orientated all 30 or younger and first time buyers!
in this constituency we will be faced with Labour .. Conservative ..Brexit … so my vote this time round will definetly not be labour, so toss of a coin!... or pick one!

You should email her and ask how does she intend to win your vote following her lies of the last GE where she stood on a manifesto of implementing the referendum result but has done nothing but be undemocratic and cannot be trusted again. Would be interesting to see her response :)

asked twice more where my replies are still waiting on first one about 9 months now ……………. !
forever praising herself for the things she "does" makes big of minor contributions to lesser parliament debates ...when house is "full to the brim" with about 50 MP's most of whom on there mobiles texting and laughing at the replies! [ on their phones ] guess they have to sit there for so long so many times a week to warrant their wage ..?
