The remain MPs piss me off, they don’t like it when they feel they are being ignored and , as they see it , prevented from having a say , but are perfectly happy to ignore the result of a democratic referendum , therefore ignoring the rest of us , and denying us a say. I hope Boris can find a way to honour the result of the referendum, preferably with a deal parliament and the rest of us can coalesce around, but if the EU won’t budge then No deal. Once out a deal of sorts will have to be struck anyhow.
I don't get your point? Michael Gove himself has admitted to it being the same document with a different title, what more do you need? You can read it in his own words from the Select Committee. Are you trying to say that the leaked document might actually have been completely different? Yet a prominent leaver (Michael Gove) alludes to the fact it's the same with a different title? My word, there's clutching at straws and then there's that! This is the incredible thing with leavers. You put some sort of evidence in front and they will do all they can to pick it apart and find any slight issue, and fail in this instance. Yet point out the gaping flaws in the Irish border, and suddenly the outrageously vague answer of 'solve it with technology' suffices. It's incredible.
You clearly missed the bottom of my comment saying ignore. I made 2 comments to you, both I've edited to include at the bottom to ignore them. The reason is because the info I was trying to get from you became available from elsewhere and a made a comment about that afterwards. But to respond anyway, I had previously made it clear that I hadn't seen any leaked document myself. I had asked you if you had actually seen it, which you refused to answer. I then pointed out if you hadn't seen it and I hadn't seen it, how can you make claims on it? And then suggested ways how it could have been misunderstood. However, it is pointless discussing that further as I have twice told you to ignore my 2 comments as the info came out afterwards that I didn't have before. Maybe don't have selective reading and actually show respect by reading the whole comment - which told you to ignore it. That would have saved you the time in responding to me and me back to you now I could have deleted the comment but I chose not to in case you had read them already. I have nothing to hide.
they are so blatant about wanting to destroy it as well !!! AH coffee is served... and warm enough to partake out on the veranda … wifi reach is very good ...
I have yet to see any evidence from you for anything. Especially your claim Boris lied to the queen. I keep asking for your evidence yet surprise surprise, you ignore it. There is a theme here! This is the incredible thing with you remainers! Evidence of things not being all doom and gloom is shown, like all the trade deals that have already been made - which all remainers said would never happen, so have been proved wrong - then you try and pick it apart to find the smallest of issues. That's another theme occurring. Yet you try and spin that same crap at us leavers! Brilliant!
Bollock brain Burcow is running the country at the moment, surely there must be a way to boot this guys authority out of the window. He is supposed to have no eyes to see and no tounge to speak, bumptous little tosspot.
I notice that there seems to be some positive rumblings from the EU last night and this morning about a deal being made by the deadline. Sounds like, if these reports are correct, Boris was telling the truth after all about talks going well with the EU and was positive about a deal being done by 31st Oct. But those who distrust him could have harmed the deal, costed the UK more money with another extension and created yet more insecurity in the markets and more concerns for businesses. Thankfully, Boris, even with parliament trying to force him to take no deal off the table, he is sticking to his guns and the EU have taken notice and now wants to do business. Just shows how bad the EU have been with us all along. And some people want to stay with that lot
He has a point about breaking the law is a bad example for the rest of society. But he shouldn't even be talking about being creative to stop Boris. That makes him look one sided.
Fair enough, I thought your 'ignore' bit was some sort of weird banter going back to me saying you should ignore non-reputable sources such as tabloids! A misunderstanding. Well luckily for you, we both know this one thing cannot be proven without an admission. As such, I guess we will just have to assume that he didn't lie to the Queen, and the longest ever prorogation of Parliament in modern times, which helps him immensely in his plan, is just purely coincidental.
What pisses me off is that they are using their position to make their 1 vote on the referendum more important than your or my vote. I voted remain, but now wish we could just get the hell out and move on. The tough bit on this is if the EU don't extend the exit date. Doesn't matter what has been passed in parliament, we're out. It would be out of our hands, deal or no deal. That's why its so hard to get out. It took 40+ years for us to get to this position incrementally. It was always going to be hard to unravel in 2 years (the original timescales?). Never mind, I'm sure Boris can sort it in 5 weeks.
The point is he doesn’t have to sort it by the end of Oct. that’s the date to decide whether to come out without a deal or stay in and allow longer to negotiate the terms of a deal. Either way a deal of sorts will have to be negotiated. If we come out without a deal we will negotiate something whilst being out , if we agree a framework, which is what we are attempting to do at the moment, we will then negotiate a deal but stay in the EU until one is agreed, the issue leavers have is if we stay in and negotiate can we leave if we don’t like what they offer, because what the EU is suggesting at the moment is that we can’t, this could tie us in indefinitely, or at worst give them a Veto over when or how we leave. I hope I explained that , it is quite complicated. Well for me anyhow.
You're not alone in finding it complicated Ashton. It makes my head hurt. Also, if it were easy, we'd have left a year ago. Unravelling 40+ years of integration was never going to be easy. It isn't helped by the fact that most MPs have no idea what needs doing so just sit around throwing rocks at each other, their default position. The point I was making is that parliament has passed a bill that says we can't leave with 'no deal'. However, we may have to if Boris can't get a deal past the EU and parliament by 31st of October and the EU doesn't grant us an extension. I agree that once we're out we then have to start negotiating on what the detailed relationships, politically and for trade, look like deal or no deal. That will take years.
If that's the case, you mean the other way around. It was originally 'base', now it's 'worst case', allegedly. If you believe that, then why did Michael Gove try lying about it? As clearly shown in the words of the Select Committee. It's a base scenario end of. It's just down to interpretation as to how accurate we all believe it to be.
