His cabinet is so diverse Boris clearly has no issues you see that by his appointment.
Boris can be a huge hero if he does this right.
    We will soon now.

So far so good. He already got his team behind him of those he trusts. He has already put Corbyn and Labour in their place. Bring on the EU!

He shouted a lot and waved his arms , we know he’s good at that . The proof of the pudding is in the eating . I do like the way he’s approaching Brexit , we should have done it ages ago. Reading between the lines we’ll either be out by the end of Oct or he’ll force a GE to attempt to give himself the numbers to force it through.

I’m not sure the EU are as concerned as you suggest, but agree we should have taken a more robust stance from the start. We’ve bent over backwards to accommodate them , all they’ve done is keep reiterating things they won’t agree to. (Which is most things) , there needs to be compromise on both sides, not just ours.

May went into negotiations with the EU wanting to be a good neighbour thinking if we act that way already willing to make compromises then the EU would be more willing to be a good neighbour too and compromise in areas. However, everyone except the Tories knew damn well that the EU was going to make things very hard for us to make an example of us. Boris now should go into this very strong with the threat of no deal as the EU won't want no deal. And the EU would know that Boris will not be afraid to use no deal. Issue is that still puts the EU in the driving seat as the rest of parliament who wants no deal taken away. Why would they want our main negotiation tool taken away? Its like starting a game of chess without your queen! Parliament will do what they can to stop no deal meaning the EU will believe we don't have no deal as a weapon.

Precisely, that’s why I said Boris will threaten , and if necessary call , a GE if MPs block him to get the numbers.

MPs will be worried about losing their jobs in a GE , which may make them think twice about blocking him.

Paradoxically if the EU think we are serious about accepting a no deal it could actually stop one happening, but we have to convince them we are serious about accepting one.

I think Boris has made that abundantly clear on his own part and for constructing a concensus backing in his chosen cabinet ministers.

The rank and file MPs are the ones who could scupper it and it's essential that they are brought into line either by the threat of losing thier jobs through a GE, or preferably for Boris to convince them of his more general intent as PM. Immediatley actuating some of the initial pledges he made in his acceptance speech and first speech in the House yesterday will be a key ploy.

    Nothing else convinces like action.

It there's an election I'd hope Boris would threaten his 'remainer' MP's with allowing the Brexit Party a free go at their seats.

If there is a pact with The Brexit Party the seats will be chosen on who’s in the best position to win .

It’s a good idea though , the threat would possibly encourage them to think twice about blocking, and maybe encourage them to back Boris.

I wasn’t a fan of Boris I have to say, but I think there’s more chance of us coming out of the EU now than there’s been since the 2016 vote.

I know some remainers wont like it because they think we will be worse off, for the sake of argument if we accept that they are right, that really isn’t the point. For democracy to mean anything at all in this country we have to leave .

As much as I’m happy about this, but has it not occurred to you where this extra money is coming from to pay for this. Plus the 20 hospitals he’s promised to upgrade along with the schools and the list could go on. And no it won’t all come from money saved to the EU

I think a big chunk will Rod the money the Brussels mafia take from us is mind boggling.
Time to invest in our country and get it back under British Control and rules.
The last two days the vibes coming from Boris and his team is fantastic.

I think in all fairness, that if we want more police, better NHS etc.....then one way or another we need to be prepared to pay for it...There is only one pot to dip into, it's what the priorities are......money saving from the payment to the EU will of course help the cause.

So you’ve no answer then other than to talk bollocks as per usual. Time to invest means money coming from taxes you tit.

Yes I agree and I think it may be worth it for these, but my question was aimed at the village idiot . As he brags about his successful business etc. He wants all these players like Assombalonga but said last year that why should he increase season ticket as it’s pin money to SL. So I think he’s happy to spend others money but cry’s when it’s his own.

Rod I’m fortunate ST price does not worry me, I think your getting confused I actually said he should increase prices, however that would affect the less well off that wish to watch City.it is getting a happy medium.Lets put it another way if SL wants promotion he will spend.

Taxes are collected anyway ROD , it’s a matter of priorities how you spend them, so it doesn’t necessarily mean more taxes, whether you like it or not we pay more into the EU than we get back, so potentially there could be some from being out, I know you will claim by exiting we will lose more from less income than we gain and you may well be right I’m no economist, but neither are you and besides most of their predictions have proved wrong so far , so even they don’t know for sure.
