EU migrants can come to the UK never work a day and still claim full pension without a single N I contribution .

Just about everything paid out by the exchequer is paid for by the taxpayer, in the same way you buy goods using your own money. It still has to be bought, regardless of where the money comes from. Expenditure is expenditure.

And I totally agree about pensions being crap. Folk pay in for a half a century and get the minimum out.

Immigration is a huge drain on this country. EU immigration not so much: non EU immigration costs upwards of 15 billion each year.

Romanian cleaners. Ha! Is that what you call them?

I don't have any Romanian mates. Never said I did. No inbred racist carrot crunchers from Norwich among my circle of friends either. What is your ****ing point?

Quite a lot of Poles drive buses in North London though. For what that's worth.

There's a quite a few Poles in UK prisons, for what it's worth. Around 900.

Four Brits are currently languishing in Polish jails.

The whole system was about to come crashing down. The Yanks had allowed Lehman Bros to go to the wall, and it was only after Gordon Brown vowed to underwrite the UK banks - all of them if necessary - that other govts around the world stepped in to do the same. Had they not done so, a crash of 1929 proportions would have followed.

Unfortunately, many of the other lessons of the Wall St crash and the ensuing decade have not been learned. Hence austerity during a recession, a proven recipe for prolonging said recession. And just like in the 1930s, populist leaders have succeeded in persuading the electorates to blame immigrants and poor people.

Come on Archers, it's every post of yours now, what is your fetish with Romanians & Poles ;)

Probably why i'm not too bothered about the Poles, I don't use buses and avoid North London when I can.

I personally know someone who earned 35 million while working at Lehman Bros. He has genuine Picasso sketches in one of his many homes. He is a ****.

Populist leaders speak for the poor, yet you say populists blame the poor. Or do you mean poor immigrants?

Yeah, it's all the Poles fault the economy crashed.

****sake Ponders, stick to whimsical observations about otters, and quizzes about obscure thespians of dubious parentage <ok>

Who said the Poles caused the economy to crash? Don't tag that nonsense on me.

And Ponders is dead. Bless him.

Obviously I haven't made myself clear.

Bankers are the ****s who caused the recession/depression currently gripping the world.

Populist politicians - like banker Farage, and property dealer Trump - are the ****s who are exploiting the situation for their own ends while pretending to speak for the poor.

Anyone who is daft enough to vote for a bloke who lives in a gold tower in Manhatten because "he speaks for the poor" is a silly **** who deserves to get shafted.

    Much better. Ta.

I'm off to research these otters you speak of. Ponders really liked you; I think you are a bit of a sentimental young booby. But we could be pals.

    Back later.
