    There's not a cats chance in hell Mick would have left without getting 1p off the club in doing so.

    Sure, it won't be published but I think we all know Mick will have picked up maybe a small %%% but something none the less.

    Well it was a pretty ridiculous position to be in at a football club, his role was effectively being a caretaker manager in his old role. The equivalent of gardening leave, perhaps, where in most senior-level professions, you wouldn't still be in the job. I think the boos from the crowd and the general apathy around the place played a factor, but I think he was just too proud to continue. I don't really blame him for walking. Either way, he has been handsomely paid for his time here.

    I think it’s likely Evans would rather he stayed till the end rather than pay him for doing nowt.

    It's not going to be a lot but I just don't see Mick saying ' oh you want me gone early I will go and receive £0 '

    Academic anyway - he's gone. Wonder where he'll end up.

    Next up - Villa - hmmm!?
