We lost that game because Howe didn't have the sense or he wanted to prove a point by not hooking Burn.

These guys get made out to be gifted with tactical genuis, but Today it was only common sense required to get a point of more.

He was literally about to hook Burn as soon as the ball went out, Hall was lined up.

If Burn had booted that ball out for a throw in, he would have come straight off and been replaced by Hall. Burn ****ed up and the reality was very different. Burn was about to come off the next time the ball went out for about 2 minutes or so, it wasn't likely that would happen before the ball went out.

We're 2 points off the relegation zone having spent a fortune in a psr ruled sport.

And literally 6 points off Europe with 27 league games still to play, excelling in Champions League and also into the quarters of the league cup. And having just won our first trophy in 70 years.

I'm not happy with the league form, but it takes a special kind of masochist to think things are bad now.

He should have took him off after his yellow like myself and you actually posted.. He was then given a warning after the 1st pen incident and still did nothing.

Lets not try and make excuses for this one mate.. If me and you had the sense required then the bloody manager being paid a fortune should have.

We're in a spot of bother and there's a time for acceptance.

We just looked second best everywhere. Not sure if we won any tackles, and were dispossessed time and time again.
Joelinton is having shocking season.
Our midfield strength went awol.
Wing play not happening.
Little up front to pick at the meagre service.

Bad error from Botman for their third.

Solutions come from ****ness - Burn suspended for the next game and Hall starts.

It was Sartre who said “in a football match, everything is complicated by the presence of the opposite team”. Everyone has worked us out, and we have no plan to deal with it because the whole squad is built around one tactic, one play style. The subs are mirror images of the players they replace. We bought counter attackers when with £250m spent you should be controlling the game.

The chasm between us and Arsenal is ludicrous but what’s worse is there’s a chasm building between us and top half teams. I’d love to know what Howe is going to do about it, other than pick the same players and hope for the best. It’s got Steve Bruce vibes.

I don't think anyone on here saying bang out of order of whacky stuff like.

It's been **** all season bar 1 or 2 games of decent football. Even when we are winning games, we look boring, stale, predictable and it's concerning.

I'm also seeing just bemusement from the touchline, silence from the top of the club. I think the board has had an easy ride since they came in with buckets of goodwill, they have spent money and found success relatively easily. I don't think we are in a crisis, but I do think we are playing **** football - if we DO end up in a crisis I have serious doubts these owners have the experience or the reaction speed to deal with it.

Could I imagine the current Newcastle ownership actually sacking a manager and replacing him in a week? Not a chance. We would need to wait to the end of the season and wait a few months, at least.

Away league form is dreadful, but we're killing it in the CL and league cup. It's a really weird season.

I also think there’s a level of comfort at Newcastle that’s not helping the general malaise. Howe under no pressure and that flows down to the players. The likes of Pope and Burn know they’re playing regardless of performances. There’s just too much familiarity which then makes tough decisions too hard to make.
