Same ****, different day I keep hoping for a performance, for things to suddenly get better, I'm unsure why though. We just keep plugging away, doing the same **** game after game, deja vu every bloody game.
I cant believe at this stage of the season, I'm still hoping klopp might actually make a change to his tactics that God forbid may actually make us a bit ****ing better
We’ve gone from high intensity pressing team with a workmanlike midfield and speedy wide forwards to a slow based possession team. Problem is, we don’t have the players to play that way. We don’t have a foden de bruyne Bernardo silva gundogan in midfield who can all keep the ball pass it around people and push opposition players back and then work a bit of magic to get through to create a chance. Of klopp really wants that to be the style we need a massive overhaul. I’m more inclined to think wants to keep playing high press with speed given the signings of diaz and gakpo but if so, needs a few more players to replace the old legs unfortunately so gonna be a slog of a season.
We went 442 pre World Cup. Got us a bit more solid. Elliott and Salah wide. Nunez and 1 other up top. Not sure why changed from that? Maybe because we have no other striker so play up with Nunez? Put Salah there but then need another wide midfielder?
just watching reviews. trent on first goal is nowhere. while it goes to front stick he has left a man totally unmarked for free header at back. the same man chests down the the ball for the 2nd chalked off goal. trent against nowhere near him the same man I think scores the 2nd goal again trent not on him. that's shambolic and his passing has been the same. minute 1 he kicked ball right out and has spend the half back passing first touch rather than trying anything. has he got a cob on over tsimiaks getting to run where he likes??? salah has glued himself to the right touchline doing nothing for the rest of the half. I'd have to say Elliott and trent would be straight off at ht for me but what to do to just try and even get this shambles facing the right way and kicking the ball forward I don't know. not even sure if a 442 is possible with what we have? carvalho lw? klopp won't do it imo. ox lw and elliot rw in theory but **** me.... would you want it?
OX Chamberlain has not been playing regularly, seeing his name on the team sheet is emarrassing. The first goal was as a result of initial mistake of our player. We are terrible.
I am going to bet that kieta will last 10mins. the commentators just reported there wasn't much warm up
