Didn’t think either were penalties to be honest.

Agree but it seemed that they wanted to give the one against Gudmundsson but couldn't because the Brentford player was offside. That was the reason given for not giving it.

The DCL one looked like there was more contact and pulling but there was no offside as an excuse to not give it.

Its the lack of consistency that winds me up. I just want Leeds to play the same rules as everyone else. We seem to be on the wrong side of these decisions more often than not. The only 50/50 decision is remember going our way this season was the penalty against Everton.

The DCL one was in ‘seen em Given’ Category for me but I wouldn’t have given it personally - Brentford one was a complete dive.

I thought dcl got fouled on almost every long ball, they just pushed him In the back and never got pinged…. then he got a really soft freekick given against him for backing in.

In general the ref let a lot go but we didn’t get much from him

I got no time for the tame Leeds journo’s as many know, but Smythy at the YEP gave some very strange marks after the game. He marked everyone low which means he thought Brentford were shyt. His lowest mark of 4 was for Tanaka who didn’t have a great game but 4? You would think with the marks he handed out we had been thrashed. His best marks he gave to Aaronson, Gnonto, trying to make out that DF is a tactical genious oh and Ampadu got a good mark.

I saw a team who battled, who tried, who countered most things and came out on top. A team who deserved that point and maybe even unlucky not to take all 3. Tanaka wasnt great but he wasn’t a 4 Pirri’s kicking wasnt great but rather he gets knocked for that than playing around at the back with it. His handling was excellent and thats what I want from my keeper. Bijol low marked and blamed for their goal, maybe but somebody usually makes a mistake before a goal and we have seen Struijk and Gudmundson fail and even Rodon but never get marked down like that, especially when Bijol headed and blocked most things and kept their attack quiet most of the game. Bringing subs on for the last 20 and 15 mins and making them MoM is a joke, yes they did what was asked of them and Gnonto’s cross made the goal but there job was to run their asses off for a few minutes and thats it.

Not a great performance but an adequate performance in this league with this squad

Perri’s handling was good yesterday.., just that weird moment in the second half when the ball went through his legs which looked like a comms issue. Good to see him take out the low cross at the end without palming it out. So his keeping was solid, distribution… well it’s not a strength

Thought I’d read a Brentford fans forum.

What came over before and after the game is they consider themselves to be in a bad place, after some good results earlier in the season.

They didn’t like our ‘3 lumps’ at the back. Apparently they roughed up their striker, unlike the exemplary behaviour shown to DCL.

The referee was biased too - but in favour of Leeds <laugh>

Best bit was a comment ‘thank heavens DCL is incapable of scoring or we’d be in trouble’ followed within seconds by ‘oh fck’. Made my day.
