Well chaps, that’s a massive relief. Was way too drunk to post yesterday after the game and nursing a massive hangover today. Will watch the game back later this afternoon.

 

i think he's decent going forward and sh*t defensively.... what we used to say about Alioski... except so far in his career he's proved a downgrade not an upgrade.

 

When Alioski got caught going forward he bust a nut trying to get back, it's how Firpo doesn't seem to care, he looks round like it is someone elses job to fix his mistake. On the rare occasion he does attempt to get back it inevitably ends in a booking

 

Looks like we'll get to have that '10 games in' assessment on Marsch after all fella. Full pre-season, and a fair run of games and we'll see if he's any good.

For once, it was the opposition keeper who c*cked up, the opposition having injury problems, the opposition with a stupid sending off. So our luck turned when we needed it to. We weren't great but we were decent yesterday under the circumstances. For now we have to say Marsch did what was asked of him.

 

For a guy who's supposed to be a defender, his basic defending is diabolical. I don't know whether the chasing back is not caring or just not knowing what he's supposed to do... when someone is covering for him. Be interesting to see whether they tolerate him next season.

 

We need to have a detailed, dispassionate assessment of what we have. There are those that are good that will have to go to provide finances and others who are not good enough who will have to go to free up wages. We really, really need to get these transactions done soon so we can get a team together for the start of a short half season.

 

Like he did for their goal yesterday, just let the player get away from him and only put a bit of effort in when it was too late.

Actually found out the result at dinner. Sailed and lost connection on 56 minutes, so not too much agony. Strangely, couldn't sleep. Too euphoric. Can now enjoy my hols - 1 week in!
