According to the news, we are now living in a new normality, but that didn't extend to sport as we added another game in our long winless run against Millwall. We now run into slick, on form Brentford, and the general opinion seems to be we'll be lucky to avoid a tanking. Of the games remaining, this is undoubtedly one of the hardest, and while we hot an excellent result earlier this season, Brentford had enough chances to run out comfortable winners. The eternal optimist in me is hoping we can achieve another performance like Cardiff away, but we will really need to up our game tonight. I'll go for a 0-0, but it's more in hope than expectation.
Agreed we'll probably lose. But if we can keep it to a one goal margin it might make a vital difference in a fortnight's time. You never know. Cardiff were thought likely to whack us but they couldn't break us down. Maybe we'll nick a 0-0
A spirited defeat against the in form Championship team. Once Williams came off we didn’t have anybody who could hold on to the ball. The pressure told in the end, but we made Brentford work for their win.
Agreed. Never nice to lose from a winning position but Brentford are quality, and although they have probably played better more than once, they were not poor. Our GD didn't take a hammering, even if the players were deflated at the end. We will have better opportunities for points and wins against Birmingham and Reading. Got to win one of those.
