A point stolen, to reimburse us for Birmingham. Disappointing that we were clearly outplayed, but that was always going to happen at some point. Earning points when you don't deserve them is a good thing.
Well it goes to show what I know then. Problem with only seeing it in print, I had no idea that Diedhiou was playing badly till someone listening pointed out on OTIB.
I missed the 2nd half live feed and I thought the usual writing was on the wall after we scored and sat back to absorb the inevitable pressure. I would have settled for a point and we deserved to come away from Griffin Park with a share of the spoils. The only question I have is can Diedhou actually rise high enough to ever get his head on the ball because it seems to me that he never even gets close? Just a point.
Bad injury to a Brentford player on 82 minutes. Took some time to treat him and he was strechered off. Applauded by both sets of fans.
Looking at the match statistics does not bear that out. Conceding that amount of possession x shots on goal generally results in a defeat.
True, but City have endured their fair share of stick for not getting results despite better possession/shots on goals stats, so on the occasion it's the other way round, they deserve some credit. You're right though - get outplayed and more often than not you won't get the result. This was a bonus, but a let-off also.
We were lucky to get a point but maybe unlucky against Birmingham to get nothing. We'll need to take what we get from this division. Unimpressed with the way we sat back and invited them onto us but a lot of their possession was at least 25 yards from goal so we need to remember that when looking at the stats. Thought the ref had a good game, got all the big decisions right, would have been easy to award Brentford a penalty in the first half. Mom for me was Fielding (despite his poor distribution). Poor performances frame Bryon, Patterson and Famawa. Everyone else average. We seem ok to me, mid table.
