Spence and Knudsen definitely benefited from the Bees trying to play into the box on the floor instead of slinging crosses over. Knudsen was so confident towards the end I saw him out in the LB position, low to the ground, pointing at the ball as the attacker was trying to get around him.
It was like an MMA fighter goading his opponent....great stuff!

Also. a lot of Brentford's short corners, that they obviously worked on in training, generally came to nothing. I was thinking they should be lumping the ball into the mixer but they played a few crafty corners that got snuffed out.

Check out the top scorer charts.
Waghorn with an 80% conversion rate and 48 minutes per goal.
    Garner 120 minutes/goal, 57% conversion.

If Martyn continues scoring like that maybe he should stay out wide :emoticon-0102-bigsm

And what a different tone and feel to our comments, even Warky is wetting himself, as for Spanish, he will be raising a glass or 4 to Mick tonight!!

All simples really, because at last our players are actually playing football as a team, with pride & commitment and not a little skill...and making up for the awful injuries.

Cant wait to see them live at PR.

Well what can I say - we've only gone and won without a fit CB! Jesus lads that's some win. May have been helped a little with Jota not being in their 18, damn fine player him but their problem not ours.

Warner + Garner, THANK YOU Rangers. Very shrewd signings.

Have to see what system we play with various players coming back, however what a start!!

Yeah Westy, no Jota and ball on the floor footie from Brentford meant our two makeshift CB's had an easier day than if they had to deal with a bunch of crosses and high balls.

Very thick from Brentford - perhaps the ideal team to play.....
Cardiff under Warnock would have absolutely bullied us Saturday.

Fortunately for us Brentford wanted to pass the ball into the net, I was behind the goal in the Churchmans End and I lost count of the chances they had to hit a first time shot from the edge of the area but thankfully they played tippy tappy pretty football until dispossessed, they were shot shy like us last season.
Our defence is shaky but Kenlock and Knudsen gave everything but Iorfa while ok going forward is very average as a right back, he is easily turned and left trailing and doesn't stop crosses coming in which I would have thought was basically a full backs job.
No problems up front though and McG seems to enjoying his role behind Waggy and Pitbull Garner, thankfully they've risen to the occasion and given us a great start, and youre right Westy after hitting the bar with a shot from just outside the area Brentford should have mixed up their tactics, good footballers yes but tactically brainless.

Fulham gave us a Master Class on how Football should be played last season so it will be interesting to see how we fare against them on Saturday! They will be our toughest test yet! <ok>

If they keep the ball on the floor as well it will be easier for us.

Fulham have only managed 2 goals in the 4 league games, hopefully that's a good sign.

Fulham appear on Wiki at least to have a very thin squad this season. Not sure what's going on there?

Agree, they are winless, due a win, and everything is going perfect for us in the league............!? Will do a preview after our Palace defeat coming up.
