Crikey four wins on the spin. I don't know what to say..... madness!

Next up, we entertain slow starting Brentford. Brentford were many peoples dark horses for the play offs this term and possess a very talented squad. Without a win thus far, they will come to happy hunting ground Portman Road ( correct me if wrong however I don't think we've beaten the Bees at home yet since they came up ) looking to get their season back on track.

Not the happiest camp there with Harlee Dean stripped of his captaincy I would say though....

Now from what I've read / highlights we had our pants pulled down at Barnsley, and were fortunate to win last night - not that I could care frankly but clearly we need to up it to maintain this start.

The injury situation is an absolute disgrace. Just so damn unfortunate however I think we all feel worried that the bubble could well and truly burst. Fortunately two home games ( league anyway Palace cup whatever ) to get through before the international break which could help get more back.

I think Downes / Gerken should be back for this, and perhaps Celina also. Bench looked waferthin vs Millwall - no options to come on.

I think we'll go 4-4-2 again however think Ward could be out wide this time with Downes in the middle alongside Skuse. Think Mick will want a firmer base, and we'll need to compete with Brentford's CM or they will absolutely pull our pants down and dictate the game.

DESPERATELY require a CB. Spence at CB for me in a 4-4-2 is an absolute no-no, sooner that situation is rectified the better frankly!

    Bart

    Lorfa / Spence / Chambers / Knudsen

    Waghorn / Skuse / Downes / Ward

    McGoldrick / Garner

Certainly one of the front four will make way, and have a feeling it could be Freddy unless Waghorn isn't 100% fit for two starts in such a close time.

Hope to see Portman Road with more people inside given the prices / our start but understand it may take a little time for people to come back.

Finally, I'll go 2-2 prediction. Think we'll continue scoring, however the defence / balance looks wayyyyy short to me. Happy to be proved wrong again! COYB.

Think we'll shift back to a back 3 based on what we've seen this season. Think we only went to a back 4 to match up with Millwall (and due to injuries) and obviously leaked 3 last night, so I'd expect us to go back to what we've seen in all the other matches.. particularly if we sign another defender before the weekend.

    Bart
    Iorfa | Spence | Chambo | Jonas | Kenlock
    Ward | Skuse | Downes
    McG | Garner

I Think we'll struggle again this weekend but come away with a point: 2-2

I'm with Scowey, reckon we'll go with a back three again.

I thought Lorfa was brought in to cover CB also, surely it would be better to play someone a bit more used to the position!!

    Apparently Lorfa cannot jump!

    0-0 !?!?!?

Interesting for this season we have options with system - it's not clearly 4-4-2 with us all being able to guess 10 of the 11 players at worst....

I'll go for an optimistic 2-1 win. Brentford looked decent in the last couple of games, better than their results suggest. Maybe like us a bit flimsy at the back? Could be another 4-3!

The 0-0 was firmly tongue in cheek.

    Watch it happen now

Chambers the latest out, jesus what a mess.

2-1 Brentford I will revise mine too. What a cruel long injury list this is. Though apparently we may be getting one in before the game....

Christ if it wasn't bad enough defensively weve now lost Chambers for a month, what a balls up. We badly need people to step up and take responsibility for providing Bart with some decent cover, I don't care if they hoof it as long as we clear the situation instead of this sliced clearances going for a corner, headed crosses only going a few yards and causing mayhem in central defence, or just giving the ball back to the opposition, the attacking players can take care of themselves and know what to do, now its time for the defenders and mid fielders to step up.
