Nor have the rest of us lyndhurst which is worrying isn't it. Brent has not gotten involved with Argyle out of some sense of duty or feeling he just wants us to survive. You must see it is mostly about other things. I just hope that Argyle are still a club in 3/4 years time for us to have that discussion.

Yes i was around in the McCauley times and i remember it and the abuse he got. But we were lucky to survive then, i understand Brent is a business man but he needs to listen to the fans surely.
I doubt we will ever get a buyer with lots of cash to inject. We have to get on with it and hope we stay in the league and survive in the future. But the fans will want something in return if they turn up and not watch complete rubbish, because that what we have been servrd up for a while

If I remember correctly Macauley was going to let Argyle die, I remember him saying "Its my club and I can do with it what I like" Staplewallet and co were waiting in the wings to buy the club and he wouldn't until if I've remembered it correctly his house was firebombed and within weeks he sold Argyle and bought Drakes Island I think to piss off the council but it backfired because they left him and the island alone !

    Sensible

It seems I need to go back to school and learn to express myself more clearly because I repeat myself time & time again and nobody seems to understand.

I have never been a season ticket holder but have attended I don't know, hundreds of games on a casual basis. Of course, the bulk of those were when it was affordable & practicable to just turn up & pay cash at the turnstile and a season ticket wasn't so necessary even if you were attending most home games. That included driving straight across Dartmoor on B roads on most winter Saturday afternoons for 4 years when I was working in Exeter for and living on the far side of the moor, which may not be the longest commute in terms of miles but it was an interesting one at times...... For various reasons, including living 300 road miles away, I haven't been able to go much in recent years but if I could have, I would have.

My circumstances have changed now and I'll probably be able to attend some games later this season and will probably get a season ticket next year. OK?

I'm not forming an opinion on anyone else's attendance. I'm merely pointing out that the club will be better off if they do go. You can argue chicken & egg as much as you like but Brent isn't going to do it for us.

Perhaps as an afterthought that should read ".....will probably get a season ticket next year if we don't get relegated to the Blue Square......". That's the rub isn't it? Not sure if I could bring myself to go then and from the type of reasons we see here for staying away, if I'm doubtful then there'll be a whole lot more who definitely won't go to watch "rubbish". That's why I believe that if we do go down, we'll never come back.

I don't expect either you or anyone else to go to Home Park notdistant. Going or not is a choice people make and Argyle is a business not a charity even if it is a basket case. We get that enough people have to go for it to survive. That is no different than number of shoppers in Woolworths. It does seem that there are those that expect attendances no matter what and that is their mistake. There are so many distractions to going to mediocre football these days with Sky and the like. People soon get out of a habit if the product is poor and they feel they get nothing back at all. Brent must realise that by now. Chicken and egg is right and who cracks first.

Eggscellent [free] range of chicken & egg puns there Sensible, most impressed.

As I have tried SO hard to get across, football clubs don't make money and can't make money, no matter how high they are in the league or how attractively they play but still lose. Therefore, any comparisons with normal businesses where spending money to attract customers does make financial sense are completely false: the normal rules just don't apply.

So, Brent is too hard-boiled to shell out [geddit?] so it's either the fans or more likely the club that cracks.

I notice notDistant..... your time of posting (5.14pm) hasn't mentioned that Argyle won today without Jonah Fletcher in charge.....far more important than your yokes.

Plym, he is not a fan? Just comes on here telling us all we should go and if we don't it will end up bust. We all know that as you keep telling us! But understand some people work hard for their money and do not want to waste it on RUBBISH. F ans will go if the team keep winning. Let's hope for the sake of the club we do keep going. Hope we can go on a winning streak now.

Please lets not get into endless egg jokes or puns, my head is scrambled enough as it is (boom boom).

3 points today and that is as far as my fuddled brain will go. Keep it up and you will keep your numbers Mr Brent.

Very welcome & necessary win, long may it continue.

However, it looks as though we've played a lot better over the past couple of months & lost, so there's a long way to go before we can feel confident going into games rather than just be happy after the event with three points in the bag by the skin of our teeth.
