Why people believe everything they read in the press with their track record is beyond me. Often false, rarely true. If it happens, it happens. We'll move on and Rodgers will regret it if so. Let's concentrate on finishing the season on a high.
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...to-Paul-Lambert-if-they-axe-Alex-McLeish.html Paul Lambert is going to Aston Villa and Malky Mackay to Norwich according to the Sun. Everything falling into place. And here...http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/316773/?
Well, if Redknapp becomes England manager and Rodgers goes to Spurs, then McLeish could come to Swansea and Cardiff can have Capello. SORTED!!
Who knows what actually goes on in club boardrooms, other than the directors and chairman of such clubs, all this paper talk is just for the revenue streams of said tabloids, who are amongst the most dishonest in the land, not really bothered by all this, but if Rodgers wants to go, and does go, then he'll dig his own grave, and that I have no doubt on. You don't have to be a tactical genius to manager our squad, and the media have bulled up Rodgers on very little evidence of his actual ability, and I'd be astounded if Spurs hierarchy do choose Rodgers, on one season in the Premiership. Why I don't think Rodgers will go, is because he knows that he has fallen on his feet here at Swansea, and we have resurrected his career, which was in tatters after Reading, when he tried to run before he could walk. One thing I do know though is, he is none too happy with the slowness of the development of our own Academy and training facilities, and he has grown impatient these last 6 months. So what will be will be, it all adds to an intriguing first season in the Prem, and as one poster by the name of Captainjack once said, Jenkins always comes up smelling of roses after falling in the brown stuff, where managers are concerned! So lets hope our boards midas touch will continue with the next appointment, should there be a need....................
Couldn't have put it better myself, DPJ Rodgers has done a fab job but inherited a decent squad that knew how to keep possession and play the right way. I do hope however that the Board don't give him the excuse he may look for by not developing the training facilities quickly enough. I can envisage another statement like 'The Club's ambition didn't match my own'. It was embarrassing to hear Rodgers go on about that on MOTD3 the other day. Shocking that a Prem club has to share facilities. Nobody apart from Dai has said spend spend spend but this is something that needs to be sorted asap!
