Your exact words though were that 'anybody could do a better job than Wenger', therefore that says you think Rodgers would be better at Arsenal than Wenger. This is the reason I highlight this ****. Because Rodgers would be a ****ing abomination at Arsenal.
Arsenal are turning into the Aberdeen of English football. Still thinking they're a big club while trading on past glories. They are, at best, a 4th place finish in the league. They're not going to win the Champions League - even if you actually finish high enough up the table to qualify for it. Get used to mediocrity. Maybe, like Aberdeen, you'll win a cup every 10 years or so.
Yes. Because 99% of people would get paid less than Wenger for producing the same ****e. Which means they'd do the same job for less money. Which is therefore doing a better job in my view. Although, having that said... Rodgers really is a god awfully ****e manager but I think he would still actually do better with our squad than Wenger is doing,.
Yes. I already said, if the board literally don't care about progress or ambition (it seems they don't given them continually employ Wenger) then Rodgers would do a better job because he'd produce the same ****e but would waste less money paying him to do it. He would therefore be a better choice for a board with no ambition. Two people doing the same job on different salaries... the one being paid less would get more kudos. However, I think Rodgers would do better with our squad than Wenger is doing. Rodgers is ****e. Wenger is a whole new barrel scraping level of scummy green ****e. But **** me, I want neither anywhere near our club. EDIT... if the choice was Wenger for yet one more ****ing year then someone quality in Summer 2019, or Rodgers as caretaker for one year then a quality option in Summer 2019, I'd got option 2 such is the ****eness of Wenger.
I think you need to look up what the word 'need' means. You STILL think Wenger is doing something worthwhile. It's like arguing with someone from the flat earth society.
I don't actually. I think he needs to go. Unlike you though I don't think he should be replaced with Brendan Rodgers.
Fair enough. Personally I think it would show a huge lack of ambition to appoint Rodgers, but if that's your opinion then you're entitled to it.
Rodgers for one year then a proper appointment in summer 2019 is more desirable than Wenger until Summer 2019 as it would cost less.
Liverpool hav'nt won the league since the 80's and they still think they are the biggest best thing going.
you're doing a cathy newman. Cini didn't say he wanted Brenton as a replacement. He said if it was a decision of Wenger or Rodgers, he'd have Brenton.
I'm pressing him on a point that he made, that 'anybody could do a better job than Wenger'. Rodgers would be a monumental **** up, whatever way you look at it.
Firstly I'm not convinced I actually said that. I'm pretty sure I either said no-one could do any worse OR that there were hundreds of managers who could do better. But I might have done I suppose. Have you got the quote? And its by the by. Wenger is ****e. Rodgers would do better than him if it was a straight choice for the 2018/19 season as a stopgap until someone better came in summer 2019. As would many, many, many other managers be a better choice than sticking with having no manager like we do now.
I don't so maybe I should give you the benefit of the doubt. But I totally disagree that Rodgers would do better than Wenger. It would be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire hiring that ****ing numpty .
Rodgers is DEF not the way forward but I have to say, if he were to be caretaker for 1 year with a GUARANTEE that we would get someone else in summer 2019, I would do it. At the very least it would give us something different and would allow everyone in the club a chance to breath, as well as give some more patience back to the fans. I do believe that mentally at least, Rodgers for a year would be better than Wenger for a year. However, I dont think the board would do something like have a caretaker for a year. Whoever they get next will be who they see as the way forward.
