Soon as Rodgers payed 15 million for Allen , the writing was on the wall for transfers being taken out of his hands not long after .
Rodgers was able to advantage Suarez to a good season , a bit like Monk with Bony .
Maybe if Rodgers comes back , he will bring Allen back for 15 million ....no thanks to both frankly .
And if anyone thinks Allen was brought to Liverpool for 15 million by anyone but Rodgers , is having a laugh .

Dalglish put a bid in for Joe Allen not Brendan. A fee would have to be authorised by Liverpool FC and not by Brendan and it was a brilliant piece of negotiation by us to get them to pay £15m and the only valuation that counts is what we put on his head and Liverpool who were willing to pay what we wanted. Everyone else's valuation don't mean a thing....As far as managers returning then what is wrong with that? plenty have returned to their old clubs,

Got some proof dai
And saying your insider information is your proof don't work .
Rodgers put in a bid for 12 million and Shelvey on loan which was rejected in mid July. Only when Rodgers put in a bid in August ( we decided to overlook the Rodgers can't try to sign any of our player clause ) for 15 million did we sell him on , and who wouldn't .
Rodgers signed Allen ... Period .....unless of course , you show the proof

Joe allen was going to Liverpool before Brendan was approached, I remember the situation clearly so Brendan could not have had anything to do with the buying of joe. I remember Brendan trying his best to keep Joe He would only know about it as the Swansea manager but within 24hrs He was the new Liverpool manager that by a strange turn of fate had bought Joe......

I get the feeling that a lot of us are keen on Rodgers because we want our old Swansea back. Whether he'll actually be good for us remains to be seen. I still maintain that De Boer fits the bill. He WANTS to be here and doesn't have the baggage, but Rodgers would be a step up forom where we are for sure.

Your memory is your proof ....lol....I'll pass buddy ..
There is a ton of proof Rodgers signed Allen , and the first to ask from Liverpool , but Oct 28 2012 prior to our game ..Wales on line says it best ..." why I had to sign Joe Allen ...... He phone Jenkin's and asked .

Brendan joined Liverpool at end of May 2012

Joe signed for Liverpool on 10 August 2012

I spoke with Joe in St David's Hotel Cardiff on 14 August 2012 (night before Wales played Bosnia)

I have no doubt that Joe was a Brendan signing for Liverpool <cheers>

Agree. I think we'll end up in a win win situation this summer. I haven't forgiven him for derailing the Gylfi deal and trying to tap up Bony, but we are in the ****e and needs must, and imo he's the perfect option to stabilise the club and getting us back on track.
If he's learned from his mistakes at Liverpool, and gets the financial investment the team needs, we could have a very good future ahead of us.

If you remember Young Joe would not sign an extension to his contract as he wanted to join Liverpool as Brendan tried his best trying to get him to sign. There were rumours flying about that Liverpool wanted Brendan to replace Dalglish but Jenkins stated it was a load of rubbish and within 24 hrs Brendan was named the new Liverpool manager. Joe's deal was done by Dalglish but as we know Results for liverpool never improved and he was replaced by Brendan for the following season with the player he tried his best to stay with him at Swansea......How ironic was that....

Joe went on holiday and only had is medical at liverpool, while Brendan signed straight away as the new manager who started work that same day that why you think Brendan joined the club first but i can assure you Young Joe was already a Liverpool player while Brendan was still the Swansea Manager.

It's one thing for the fans to talk about wanting Rodgers to come back to the club in the summer , but a current player (Taylor) throwing his weight behind Rodgers coming back in the summer , through the media , is a disgrace IMO .
I guess Kingsley starting a few games ahead of him under Guido isn't sitting well with poor little Taylor .
First time since Taylor played us against Newcastle, back in the day , on who he was going to sign him that I have little to no use for Taylor .
A player expressing his basic hope to bring a manager in over a current manager should be addressed by the club.....................and won't .
Hope Taylor sits the rest of the season .
