btw I agree on Woy but the players didnt help. They were in many ways like the fans, unhappy at the appointment and Rafas sacking. They just werent interested.
Fergie will only not be at Utd if that is what he decides. The other threads are about who will be sacked, big difference. You can WUM all you like bbt but you know the truth.
Dunno, nothing is 100% certain, if United were to be relegated do you think the Glazers would keep him on? Not that they would get relegated, the literal possibility is that anybody could though.
Are you saying that if United had a terrible season, and were on track to finish outside the CL places etc etc, that Fergie's job would never be under threat? I know it is unlikely and I doubt it would happen, but there are no certainties in football. So, with this in mind, there is no difference, unless you are saying that it is impossible for United to have a bad season!
If fergie had the worst season ever he would not get sacked. He would however retire at the end of the season.
Nah. Just an observation, AVB is not a bad manager, he had a bad time at Chelsea. Not the first good manager to have a similar experience so you know, appears the problem doesnt just lie with the manager.
Of course it's not impossible for Utd to have a bad season. But you need to remember that even in our bad seasons we still come second in the league
Is this fact, or just your opinion? What I am saying is that nobody knows what would happen to Fergie if United endured a particularly bad season, so to just simply state that he would not be sacked is actually a load of bollocks! It is a possibility that he would be sacked as I believe that no one is bigger than the club, or the fortunes of the club, that's all I am saying! If you believe he is untouchable then I suggest that you are out of touch with reality, particularly with this ownership where it is clear that success is vital to United's finances. If United were mid-table and out of the CL with no chance of getting top 4, do you really think that the Glazers would just sit back and watch their investment lose millions? I don't, but then again, I'm not the one who thinks that my opinion is a statement of fact!
Fergie didn't get sacked in 1989 when Manchester United finished 13th after they finished 2nd 9 points adrift of Liverpool the previous season, so its unlikely he'll get sacked now.
You have mistakenly used the word 'come', instead of 'came'. For a moment I thought you were trying to predict the future, silly me, because as we all know, United are not guaranteed to come first, or second, or third, or even fourth next year! It as if you were trying to say that it would be impossible for United to finish outside the top two, hahaha, imagine if that was what you meant, how stupid would you look attempting to pass off your opinion as fact!
Clearly you cannot debate this properly. Let's just say this...you DO NOT KNOW that Fergie would be sackproof, I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. You can carry on trying to say it is a fact that he would not be, but again, we both know you are talking **** when you say this and in fact do not know what would happen!
Whilst nothing is impossible as the saying goes this is as close to being impossible as you can get. Fergie would step down before he he got sacked for starters and the chances of him being sacked are as likely as us being relegated to League 2 this season. Its not impossible but seriously, its not happening The fact is Fergie is never getting sacked, ever. You know, I know it.
Things were different then. Managers were given more time. Plus, the Glazers were not in charge of United then, wanting success for personal financial reasons, and not success for club reasons! It's a completely different world now, and in my opinion, Fergie would be gone if it was thought that he was not up to the job and United were struggling for top 4!
Again, you are using your opinion as if it was fact! How do you know this? Do you know the Glazers and how they would react? So, I don't know that Fergie is never getting sacked. I base this opinion on the fact that I simply do not know what would happen. You are certain that he is sackproof, and you base this on the fact that you have actually convinced yourself that your opinion is a 100% representation of what may happen in the future...hahahaha, ok Mystic Meg, I think we're done here!
