The result would be a 19 page thread that on the 3rd post of page 2 became about how Suarez was just inviting Evra round for tea and a chat about how diving is ruining the game. A common way of endearing in Uruguay of course <ok>

Donga will be leading the way explaining how Suarez has never done anything wrong ever and that the FA are just out to get him for no reason!

Anyway we're getting off topic Liverpool were unlucky today so i don't think the result reflects badly on BR he needs a few wins in a row before christmas though otherwise his christmas present may be his severance pay.

I'll remember that when you come fishing on our board. I cut you a lot more slack then you're generally due.

A thread about watching the chances of a manager getting sacked is wrong in my opinion. Imagine if you had people watching and talking about the chances of you losing your job.

Another example of an exception being made for football. Where is the humility? Have to say footy is starting to grate me a little - its so distant from reality.

Im winding you up Bow. Dont take it to heart. Glad you bit though <laugh>

And this isnt so much about watching for him getting sacked as it is our Liverpool watch thread. Its all a bit of a laugh tbh and isnt overly serious. Theres one for City and Chelsea managers as well.

Its different having people talk about your job as a football manager is always going to happen its a results based buisness with a lot of media attention, you can bet on a manager being sacked, does that make the bookies pathetic?

Football is distant from reality so are many things i like in life, take reading a book for a simple example you can forget about the the stress of your day to day life and enjoy what ever fictional stuff is happening in what your reading. Football does this for me, when watching or playing you stop worrying about stuff for a while and enjoy it.

Yeah that is true. I like a book myself. But I would say they tend to deal with stuf that has already happened, or fiction. They don't tend to be a running commentary of someone getting fired.

I would say the bookies are a bit pathetic - but they're there to make money either way. Doesn't mean we have to lower ourselves.

Despite not liking United or Chelsea, I would never have a thread about their managers potentially losing their job.

That boundary between reality and football needs to be bridged - including the likes of wages. Football is far too big for its boots atm.

Its a bit like the whenwilltorresscore websites. A bit of fun being poked at these overpaid people.

    Humm maybe. Or maybe not.

I guess we'll never agree on this one.

A fair oppinion on the thread and i agree football is way too big for its boots players don't seem to realise how easy they have it. The FA basically does what it wants and none of the organisations involved really seem to care about the fans who are feeding football. The only way it could be brought back to reality is if everyone boycotted it but i don't think i could and i know many others wouldn't!

    True.

I would though. It reminds me a bit of F1. Powerfull groups who govern themselve an our answer to essentially nobody.

The money element has taken over from the average fans enjoyment and participation.

I don't like a lot of the players it has to be said.

Don't you ever watch sky sports then Bow?

I'm assuming you do, so you'll know fine well there is constant speculation about managers jobs and job security, or indeed lack of it.
A web forum containing about ten United fans is, frankly, going to make **** all difference.

You want to know what's wrong in football? Look no further than sky ****ing sports. The very station being the very reason that there are probably about ten ridiculous threads right now on this very website saying United are corrupt. The endless relays and super slow mo of referees mistakes just fuels this bull ****.

That's more a reflection of the whole high profile celebrity culture in general. People in the public eye in all walks of life are treated differently then the non famous people, be it football, music, reality TV, the royals or whatever.

And this thread is one of the milder ones imo. Imagine if you accused a work colleague (or rival) of discrimination - you wouldn't expect people to be discussing it on the internet a year after the fact, and continuing to accuse you of lying after the guys had been found guilty!!

I think if Titkitaka Rodgers gets sacked this season the owners are more moronic and ******ed than even their fans on this site (which is saying something!). They won't do it even if the scousers go down the pan . <laugh>

However, they have made a massive mistake in appointing him in the first place. The job is clearly too big for him. The thing that goes for him is that he is not Dalglish the muppet and has not made the catastrophic mistakes that his predecessor has made. Like buying donkeys (carroll, Downing and Henderson) for huge amounts of money and now having to loan them or putting them in the reserves and supporting to the hilt lowlife Suarez and wearing that ridiculous T-Shirt for which he will always be remembered.

The last match against Anzi was revealing. The scousers were supposed to want to be in Europe. Champions League football is way way outside their target as their team is too weak. They are in the Europa and instead of making the most of it they play their reserves and surprise surprise they get beaten. That was a chance for them to really compete with some good teams. Instead they may now get dumped out of a competition they supposedly want to compete in. So back to the premiership to try to avoid relegation...

Tikitaka watch is getting more interesting and enjoyable by the day ...<laugh>

Fu.k me! UIR paid me a compliment earlier on this thread - I think <yikes> Mind you, he included that yank ***got in the same sentence as well. Anyway, you're absolutely right. Footie went right down the pan when that corrupt convict twat cornered the maket and pumped billions into it. It's now almost impossible to believe that I used to be able to stand in a queue and pay at the gate to stand on the Kop for not much money. Ah, the good old days <ok> I'd never buy Sky for this very reason.

This is the ******ed moronic scousers fans for you. Their IQs are so low that they cannot recognise the difference between guilty and innocent...if it hit them between the eyes. Even a five year old will have understood...<ok>
