SKiD you are on a proper tour of the United board! Let me know if you see anything derogatory about Liverpool.

Says the Liverpool fan who are now on their second lot of yanks doing the same thing.
Unless a team has a sugar daddy who wishes to use the club as an extension of his penis, all clubs are businesses.

We all know football clubs are businesses, however not all owners take out loans to pay off loans, and pay themselves a dividend when they haven't put a penny of their own money in, in the first place.

    True.

Only the owners of the really big clubs can afford to do that. When the owners of smaller clubs try it the club gets sold off by RBS to the "bottom of the barrel" investors <ok>

I think you're mistaken, the Double Glazers own Manchester United, not Liverpool. They are as bottom of the barrel as you're going to get. No wonder the real Manchester United fans had a pathetic failed protest. Your champagne socialist manager failed to back it, because he's been paid off to keep schtum. This is the same manager that tried to claim stud fees on a horse he had no financial interest in, and made himself look like a prized tool.

Yes we do all remember the Rock of Gibralter incident.

This is what being a Liverpool fan is nowadays, attempting to mock another club for being in debt, a club that spent £24million on a 29 year old striker when Liverpool couldn't stretch to £6million.

This is all they've got left. I bet they didn't anticipate having to resort to such depths when they jumped on that 80's bandwagon.

    It's fantastic.

    Perhaps.

The optimistic in me (ha) says that we didn't want to be taken for a ride by Fulham for a 29 year old.

£6million is not being taken for a ride though.

Its a very low price these days.

I agree, it's a very reasonable price for a consistent performer.
