    We need a good start.
Stoke game we must not lose, a draw is not a disaster. Bournemouth game first Monday night football at home.. must win game.
Also Monday night football away to Arsenal, needs a draw.. but who knows?
At home to West Ham.. nothing would do other than a win
Away to Manchester United.. Brendan has never won against the current United Manager draw lose or win not much pressure.
Two successive home games against Norwich and Aston Villa, must win.
October..away to Everton bitter rivals draw is not a disaster. October also, away to Tottenham, recently since 'Arry left we have. Who knows?.
Home to Chelsea also in October. Brendan needs to put one over Jose.
By October ending seven games played, possible points 21. If Liverpool can get 15 not too bad.

I would say stoke is must win. 6-1 loss is not something ANY club claiming to be big can let pass. stoke should be ripped a new one just to say hey the bad eggs have gone and we are back. anything less than a convincing win even though stoke are a very decent side is not acceptable. We should play it like we are playing utd. #cupfinal <laugh>

    Bournemouth is must win

Arsneal... top 4 team... any result is good.

West ham? meh... bilic had besiktas playing very very well. they are going a while now in preseaosn but he might take time to get set. I would say yes its a home game to win but he could set up to draw.

Utd away? rodgers lost twice last season shamefully. anything less than 110% effort is unacceptable

Norwich and villa... sure bottom half = must win games

Away to everton... derby.. need to do well in it again. looking for effort

Chelsea? just get it over with.... narrow loss nobody cares

IMO there a minimum of 15 required here... that would be 15 from 7 which makes 80 points possible so i'd prob tkae that for sure but i doubt it will occur just like that.

1.8pts average in first 10 games or he goes. Finish year out of top 5 he goes.

Sadly we can't just expect to be too 4.

Unless United or City get off to a very bad start, I think it will be too hard for anyone to break into the top 4 this season.

I think top 4 is doable, just not to be expected as a requirement.

He's spunked so much money and whilst we have some good players at the club, we have no structure, no identity, no style of play - no sign of real progression.

He consistently neglects the defence and central midfield because he only thinks about the attack.

Ok, you have me confused, I know I asked if you thought we had not improved as a squad from 3 years ago but this only sort of answers that and you're quoting a different post of mine than the one I asked you in.

The one above of mine states the obvious, even being generous time wise, BR has now had enough money to spend, brought in enough players that the squad can now be identified as his own and had the time he set himself to change it all around. So no more excuses.

But...do you think this squad Is better than the one he inherited? I'd personally exclude Suarez as he left for his dream move beyond BRs control. And a declining Gerrard would have happened under anyone and if Gerrard is believed BR was his favourite manager and he wouldn't have accepted being part time under anyone. Sterling I'll give you even if his leaving for reasons of ambition are spurious to say the least.

So excluding those 2/3 is the squad better now than it was 3 years ago to chsllenge for CL?
