Off Topic Brendan Rodgers have a point to prove?.

Nicely put, but our ship seems to have sailed long ago, we have become accustomed to mediocrity over a long period of time.
While other clubs have cemented their grip in the premier league we've become happy with the way FSG have steadied the ship instead of demanding a complete modernising overhaul in Cammell Laird's shipyard to our outdated art deco boat and give us the QE II not the current Queen Mary.

TgoA is correct about FSG saving us financially when we were on the brink and initially having to spend a few bob, but it takes more than that to compete with the established top 4 teams, a novice 2nd rate manager at the helm doesn't help to do it, we had and still do a chance to get Klopp who has said previously he'd like an opportunity to manage us, but we sack all but Rodgers after last seasons debacle which shows he's now just the puppet of the owners without any authority.

More time for what?

In the last 3 seasons he has been here, he's made no improvement to our chances of winning the title. In fact, I believe that our chances are significantly less now than they were when he joined.

There is nothing about him that is better than any of top managers in the premiership. Is he better than mopo or koeman? No.

I have never viewed a start of a season with less hope than this.

 

I usually hate the end of the season and end up longing for the start of the next by mid June but I was glad that it was over this time and until some serious signings inspire me I'm hoping for a long footy free Summer.

The rot started when we appointed Roy. Had we kept Rafa or made a proper appointment rather than the 'steady the ship' option, we would be in a much better position now. It's not Rodgers fault he applied for a job and got it
