  2. Rodgers certainly wasn't my choice although I did prefer him to Martinez. I actually wanted us to get Rafa back.

It is as if some here will be calling for his head if we stumble against Palace.

I know, my point entirely <grr>

I wanted Rafa back, he would have come too, in fact I'm sure his contract negotiations would have been done very quickly. I would still have him back. Back to reality ... Rodgers has hardly been given a chance but he has to bend a little, accept help, realise his shortcomings - all managers have them and then - and then maybe we can push on.

Do you think he will admit his shortcomings and ask/get additional help in. I hear alot say he is driven/single minded etc.

  6. He only had short coming once H&G arrived forcing him into a sell to buy policy. Before that, his transfer record was good. Sure he liked a FB or two but he got players like Reina, Alonso, Mascherano and Torres too.

I don't think Rafa and FSG would work well though.

his transfer record was DECENT.... not eprfect but decent... it was nuts at the end i blame the goatee.. once he grew that (or was replaced ove rthe summer by an evil twin) he was muck

    think about it.

2005.. alonso signed but so was morientes
    2006 pepe reina but bellamy
    2007 torres but babel?

i can't be bothered but it ended keanse... aquilani... so....

  8. Bellamy was a good signing IMO, both times.

Morientes and Babel were both sensible signings that didn't work out. If you're going to highlight his bad deals then selling Arbeloa for £3m and buying Glen Johnson for £17m is right up there!

I think they were discussing BR's "shortcomings".

Rafa's biggest failure at LFC was sacking Paco.

Every manager needs a great number 2.

I think Rafa was every bit as stubborn and dictatorial as BR seems to be. I respect him for the CL, and his love for the club, but I'm unsure whether I'd want him back. I think it's probably better to move on.

Which I'm about to do right now.
    See y'all later.

Pako wasn't sacked, he resigned. But yes the difference when he left was felt.
