I dont have an ounce of sympathy when a manager gets the sack as he will get a nice little package to add to the obscene wages they have already earned plus they can walk into another job either straight away or eventually. Once you become a manager of a premiership or even the championship side then you are right for the rest of your life even if you turn your back on football. some managers have money put in foreign bank accounts and one even has a dog with his own bank account nah i dont feel a bit sorry for them...
A lot of unfair comments about Joe Allen. He's doing fine for us. Was a big (but somewhat ignored) part of our run last season and the team has looked noticeably better with him in it this season. He adds shape and transition from defence to attack. He's not top class or anything but he's nowhere near being the problem.
Allen isn't the flash 'look at me I'm great' player fans of teams like Liverpool equate with quality. He's very efficient, he's very good and often his value is only noticed when he's not there.
