So much for the Swans saying "he has no plan B".

    No plan B?

****ing hell, upto now we've already seen him implent Plan A,B,C and D he's made so many successful in-game tactical changes.

I'll admit, it was a worry of mine, but he's quickly shown he has tactical nous.

He has the ability, now he needs to be given the players to match it.

    Over to you Johnny W.

seen rafa make said sub but rafa would never pick three kids.

in some ways rodgers hand is forced by circumstances so you can only play the cards you have. the only way to compare is pots at the end of his tenure.

It was Martinez's fault we won, he is secretly employed by JWH, explains the meeting in Florida. <ok>

  5. Way to point out the obvious <doh>

I was saying he shouldn't change things because he risks upsetting someone, if Rodgers had this in mind the he'd be a terrible manager. Obviously players are paid to do as they are told but that does not mean they don't have feelings or thoughts. I was talking purely abou Suso and IMO its got to be annoying him.

I'd be suprised if suso was not frustrated about being taken off a lot. Thats actually a good thing IMO. I think suso needs to understand he who must not be touched is a bit of a passenger but never gets taken off so when we need more in midfield suso is the one sacrificed.

Do you mean the Kenny who played Flano and Robinson on his return, then gave Sterling his first start and made Shelvey a regular? The Kenny who presided over the Academy which produced this crop of talent? Would Rodgers have even spotted Sterling at QPR? Could he have had the sway and savvy to recruit Borrell and Segura from Barca like Rafa?

Do you think Rodgers would've played them last season and got to two finals?

Let me draw you a graph, like this is a Brendan Rodgers PowerPoint:

    1. Rafa arrives.
    2. Champions League title.
    3. FA Cup title.
    4. Champions' League final.
    5. Hicks and Gillett begin squad erosion. Rafa keeps first XI strong but depth suffers.
    6. PL 2nd, Rafa over-achieves and pushes the Utd of Ronaldo-Tevez-Rooney to within 4 points, scoring 9 goals more than everybody, which is labelled "too defensive".
    7. PL 7th. Squad erosion catches up with us and eats into first XI as H&G give transfer budget to RBS.
    8. Rafa sacked, Purslow takes over and Hodgson arrives. We're hours away from administration.
    9. We drop to 19th. The media blames the squad Rafa left.
    10. Torres leaves as Dalglish returns.
    11. Form of 2nd with the same squad the Hodgson-loving media blamed for being at 19th. First graduates of the Rafa/Dalglish overhauled Academy eased in. Deadwood moved on.
    12. League Cup title.
    13. FA Cup final.
    14. Dalglish sacked. Rodgers, the man with a worse record than Hodgson, is heralded as the future of football. He takes one look at the "unplayable" Andy Carroll and decides he's unplayable. Swaps him for Borini. Claims the classic pass and move of Dalglish is so far removed from his pass and pass and pass and pass and move that "there's a lot of work to do". Steve Clarke doesn't have as much work to do and the coach we lost humiliates Rodgers. LFC return to the relegation zone (see 10). Rodgers claims 7th would be "an improvement" in a Hodgsonesque attempt to lower expectation.

The only thing backward here is your logic.

    Wigan who beat spurs.
Norwich who beat Arsenal & United in recent weeks.
    Reading who beat Everton.

Yes in paper they are games we should be winning but the above points prove that nothing is certain so far in this league. We've also drawn away to Everton which, baring a terrible linesman decision would have been a win. A draw against City & away to Chelsea aren't bad results either

You were also very fortunate to get a point from Chelsea.

Were we? Chelsea had 3 clear cut chances and scored 1. We had 3 clear cut chances and scored 1. We played poorly in the first half but Chelsea never threatened apart from Matas effort over the bar. We also could have won if Suarex had rounded Cech when through at 1-1 or Enrique finished better in the last few minutes.

Wouldn't quite go that far, yes the first half was quiet but the tactical change before half time seemed to be making a difference and we were better for the last ten minutes of first half once henderson came on.
