I see that a couple of our top 2YO's are set to run at the meet - Dundonnell and Sky Latern.

As my regular readers are aware I've always been a huge fan of the former and keenly await his run in the old 'Juvenile Turf'. In fact current quotes of 4/1 re him winning in the old U S of A look very large to my eye. I thought his win in the Acomb up at York was out of the top drawer and remain convinced he is a colt of the highest order who come next spring could be a major player in the ‘2,000 Guineas’.

Meanwhile, I see that Dundonnell, if he remains fit and well, will be old boy Roger Charlton’s first runner at the meet for 21 years and this has to be a most eyecatching entry bearing in mind that his trainer doesn’t run animals in such races just to get his face on local TV.
