Yeah its not good that we've failed to land our 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice target for the CB position. Maguire we signed but he's one for the future. Im trying to think who else might be a possibility... Bruce favours British & Irish so maybe someone like Jonny Evans or Ciaran Clark ?
Agreed. Bullet dodged. If Bruce felt we needed Dawson in the middle of our defence who has been a regular in a top 6 side, then I can't see how hangland would have been deemed a suitable alternative. Hope Bruce has a plan b now though.
I agree, I can't believe people are seriously suggesting that we'd consider it at that sort of money. I'd love to see someone come up with a list of replacements who would either have to be better for the same sort of money or as good for less to make it even worth considering. Even then there's no guarantee that they would come here, that they would be as good as Davies has been or even that they'd fit into the group. Davies already fits all three, so why would we even contemplate selling unless it was silly money. Although, if he wanted away that would put a different perspective on it altogether!
I reckon Brucey will have said: "Let's get the transfers sorted, lad, then we'll do your deal". Or summat.
