Or they all realised despite having the players, Junior was the weak link, got rid and hey presto, had we got rid earlier we may have had the same result, unfortunately SL was to much of a fool to realise, just saying.

On Barnsley, I believe they had already qualified for the cup final. The new manager simply had to oversee one game(?)
On Sunderland we will never know - it can’t be proven either way. Same with ourselves.
I think what Reliant was trying to point out is that Pearson took Leicester so far in the Prem and Ranieri finished the job with Nige’s team and Nige gets kudos on here for ‘building’ the title-winning squad. This was very similar to the LJ situation at Sunderland, except that some use his sacking from there as a stick to beat him with, whilst at the same time holding Pearson in high esteem. Same situation but very different attitudes towards the manager in question.
Some people might suspect a bias against (or towards) a certain person, based on those stated opinions <whistle>

I guess the difference was one was in L1 for a tinpot cup, whilst the other was premier league title winners. That’s why one is held in such high regard, by Leicester fans especially, I don’t imagine Sunderland, or Barnsley fans hold junior in high regard, do you?

They wouldnt Barnsley fans had a successful point in the season and was completed someone else as did Sunderland people remember the good bits [ positives ] whilst they are few and far between ! Like on here for a while SC was sacked and a negative veil covered the event until something worse / similar came along then SC was the hero!
I dont take sides on LJ just express facts and stick by my opinion his sacking at that time was un called for ......
we all have opinions and good we do but sometimes just a little bit more thought as to why? gives a wider picture understanding..
WE now have LM in charge a 10 game comparison shows he is no worse to date than NP WAS DOING ........ The 10 games dosent quite cover the whole compass of the opposition ... but getting there! I usually do not take into consideration the first game of a new manager [ LM was QPR's ] so lets await until tonight to see what transpires!

    Or Hibs and now Fleetwood.

It's only a few 'fools' on here who rate Junior.

Well, Pearson did even worse with “LJ’s players”, despite his extensive experience, yet you claim he was a success

Nobody has had the level of backing LJ had,

Dicks was different, in a completely different era, he built a team of youngsters up and was able to keep them together.

If LJ was doing so well with those players why exactly was he got rid of?, by the time Nige took over the club from top to bottom was in a mess.

    Those saying “I really don’t care”….

You might as well just say “So? Whetever?I refuse to admit I was wrong.”

Or not comment at all seeing as you don’t care…
