Looks like Scholes has just retired. He's a good professional, and I admire players that stick with their clubs for their whole careers and I think as long as people have respect for Gerrard and Carragher for staying with their clubs until the end then I will have respect for Giggs, Scholes and Neville for that respect.
A bank holiday and a league title to parade but Man Utd couldn't get people out in Manchester to join them in the rain. The rain, that symbol of Utd fans' tears, pouring down and running through streets of the town said to be a City town. The estimated one million people who were supposed to turn out stayed away, leaving a small band of prawn enthusiasts running around a lot, while Rio Ferdinand tried to get Sky News to say there were 150,000 there. Police were more circumspect, having staffed for 150,000 but finding they could manage with resources for 25,000, a turnout those attending tended to agree with. It's unknown how many of those 25,000 would've been in the streets anyway. Meanwhile, Barcelona partied with Shakira. Imogen Thomas reportedly loves Shakira but didn't attend.
Beaten yes, bad day yes. United put up their best offering and had nothing left but headscratching. Big difference in that and a bad day at the office. Blackpool beat us and beat us good, but if blackpool owned us United have been owned several times this season too. I think it means we will put in a bid for united as we also owned them for 90 minutes this season and it is the reason we think we would give Barca a better game, we have a midfield Speaking of Villa, they owned you aswell and only for the inexperience of youth they'd have walked out winners, they absolutely owned united for 60 minutes
