one question....what player of any worth would want to play 3rd division scottish football now.....Its going to be a hard to attract any good players and will be a hard season by the looks of it.....

If you pay the wages they will play there - not as if they were in the market for Messi in the SPL anyway.

Rangers is still a huge attraction for a lot of players and we'll romp back to the SPL.

Heard today they were signing bob Malcolm. Be funny to see them rate him as one of their best again. Theyll attract a decent enough calibre of player, whether they have any money to pay them will be the issue

I think you are massivly underestimating what has happened and you will find that you will only attract 3rd division standard players anyway....good payers wont drop down to substandard football for nobody rangers or man utd....It will be a culture shock as you find you wont be any better than the rest of the teams......

I think you underestimate quite how ****e Div 3 is <laugh>

The players there are ALL part-time. Even div1 players will be on considerably <£1000 a week. Regardless of their circumstances, Rangers will be able to pay more than any club outwith the SPL (and probably more than a few in the SPL) so will be able to attract semi-decent scottish based pros and the odd veteran. I agree no-one "good" will come from down south until they move up a league or two but they won't need them.

You think Celtic would have kept Larsson in he wasn't the highest paid player in the club's history?

Good players will play in lowly clubs that pay high wages, just look at Man City.

Think a reality check on running costs of Ibrox, MP and the squad and other employees balanced against the significantly reduced revenues from low cost STs.

You are caught in a time warp. Sevco will have to cut their cloth etc. Saw the finances laid bare on another forum and sevco will in fact operate at a heavy loss for a few seasons.

Imagine telling a football governing body to drop an investigation. Tells you all you need to know.

Seems this licence is proving as elusive as the fabled deeds.
