DC has confirmed that Lee Brown is leaving Rovers at the end of the season. In fact, his last game will be at the Mem this Saturday and will miss the final game. DC also confirmed Brown will be given the captains armband for the game.
DC said Brown is not leaving for football reasons as he loves the club and is very happy at Rovers. However he has been struggling this season with family issues and now needs to be closer to London to be with his family so he will be leaving us for family reasons.
Since joining us back in 2011 under Buckle, Brown has been ever present at left back and made that position his own. He stayed very loyal to us when others quickly jumped ship after we fell out of the football league. He was rewarded for that by getting the all important injury time winning goal to secure us promotion to league 1.
