I have not seen this history of lies and deceit you speak regarding Biden.. Quoting extracts from an iconic speech (although not portrayed as this by our predominantly Tory supporting media), without giving credit is not exactly crime of the century.. Now Trump on the other hand has at least 20,000 documented lies and counting since he became president. You can't even compare the two when it comes to who is the most honest.

Biden has been a politician for nearly fifty years. He confiscated, lied and threatened over the Benghazi Clinton scandal for one thing, and he was known, as are they all, for being g casual with tbevtruth when it suited him, even I the Senate.

But that is not the point,nor is it a surprise. The point is that there is a comical acceptance of a man clearly not well enough, mentally alert enugh, or suitable for office just because he isn't someone else.

If Trump, say had said " I was able to stay isolated because a black woman filled up the shelves of tbe supermarket" , it would have been headline news on the day and thereafter here and everywhere. But Biden said this last week when he wasn't reading a teleprompter, and how many people know? How many know he yelled at a black man earlier in the year telling him," if you don't vote for me boy you ain't black" ? He later denied saying it despite it having been on TV. How many know of his very shady Ukraine connections and the favours afforded his son from that quarter?

AGAIN, you don't have to like Trump to dislike Biden. He was a bad tempered man ten years ago according to reporters at the time, and he's worse now.

Even IF Biden has said a few things over the last 40 odd years maybe he shouldn't....then surely whatever he said cannot be worse than Trump has said this week. Trump is out of control, I actually think the guy is unhinged. I'm sure Biden WILL last 4 years, but they have some decent people in the Democrats who can replace Joe as and when. I actually Like Kamala Harris...she is a very smart person. An American who I work with over here wear a badge that basically says "Anyone but Trump"...says it all to me

Well it's very impressive I'm sure. And no doubt if the Post had the integrity it could por over every other politician and find other vast mountains of lies.

But I think you are missing the point. I hold no flag for Trump. But I'm pointing out that Biden is to even his closest allies, clearly not fit to assume office. Just the sight of his wife having to hold his hand and coax him in TV interviews earlier in the year tells you that, without even getting into his multiple, and consistent displays confusion.

This a very bad time for America, and it is part of a trend which was perhaps bound to reach here. The worst choice they have had to make since.......the last time.

No I cannot know it. But there is no one who thinks he will last. Perhaps not die, but prove to be woefully unable to meet the demands of the office, as he probably is now. Harris has been caught out on a hot microphone talking about a Harris presidency......." with Joe". She didn't take it back

That's the problem. It is the ugly dishonesty of putting a man on a ticket and having to manage him like an invalid in the hope that no one notices.

As for Trump being a psycho, well probably not quite . But the US constitution is remarkably robust, which is why it would be very difficult for anyone to name any serious change in the law enacted in his time, other than executive orders which can be rescinded without the House by any future President.
