Scolari was not much better. It's just that the players liked him at the start and then changed his mind about him as the season progressed. This is the problem when foreign managers come in who seem to have a preference for those who are from the same country or speak the same language as them. Fans said players like Bosingwa, Ferreira and Deco should be dropped yet Scolari continued selecting them. This shows favouritism and creates dressing room unrest as cliques are formed within the club. This was not the case with Mourinho who was not afraid of dropping and even publicly criticising his own players (which he had done in the past with both Ferreira and Carvalho). AVB defended David Luiz from pundit criticism simply because he is from Brazil. So what? Doesn't mean every Brazilian player is a footballing God.

At least Scolari tried to get us playing nice football, I honesty dont know what AVB wanted from our team tactically and I dont think the players did either. He turned one of the most formidable defences in world football into a joke, our midfield get dominated by weak teams and we are soo poor in attack. AVB has not improved a single area of the team.
Would have liked to see AVB stay for the summer to build his own team. But we have slipped down to 5th place which is not good enough for Chelsea and our results have been poor by our standards. From that Roman would never wait untill then his mind was made up long ago AVB had overstayed his welcome. Drogba, Lampard and Cole have big egos and their revolt against AVB has played a big part with Romans decision. You can tell that the players were unhappy with AVB from their body language.
Probably a massive queue, sign a three year contract get sacked less than 12 months on receive a massive pay day and get on with your career. Having a CV with sacked as Chelsea manager means nothing these days, it is no longer seen as a blot. He was the first manager since JM that I actually liked.
