So, Harrison had a medical at Seagrave and was all set to sign on Tuesday night when Leeds pulled the plug. Possibly explains why we were happy to grant Albrighton to loan move. We were expecting to bring in Harrison. Dirty Leeds.
Some things never change. Perhaps he's not happy at playing in Jesse Marsh's Keystone Cops XI. Souttar looks to be a sizeable unit. I can't remember the last time we scored from a set piece, so if he could get some game time and get on the scoresheet on Saturday it would be a huge boost to his and the team's confidence.
Leicester City eye Sunderland transfer as ‘major target’ identified for key position https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/...eicester-city-eye-sunderland-transfer-8113663 Give us Iversen and an opening offer of 10m and we'll sit down to discuss this.
I like Iversen, I think with a run of games he could be very good. Wouldn't touch ward with a bargepole.
Iversen has had 3 outings in the Cups this season and has kept 3 clean sheets ... he also saved 3 penalties in a penalty shoot-out...
Just to get that into perspective those clean sheets came against Stockport County, Newport County, Gillingham and Walsall. Probably says as much about the quality of the opposition and our defensive performance as a whole rather than just the goalkeeper. The penalty saves are an indication that he can be a good shot stopper. I haven't seen enough of him to know whether he is a good all-round goalkeeper. Kasper was a brilliant shot stopper but couldn't command his 6 yard box and his distribution was borderline woeful. But we do have to do something about that position because Ward, although he has improved - along with the defence as a whole - never inspires me with much confidence.
True ... but the lad can do no more than keep clean sheets when he gets an opportunity... and those teams did attempt aerial bombardments, something that has caused us no end of issues...
