    This is not a drill.

    We've actually signed a player :smiley-finger007:

Great. I see Souttar was left out of the Stoke squad today, normally a sign they are leaving. I was really impressed with him during the World Cup.

Can you imagine if he comes in and pairs up with Faes, they could be together for the next 10 years if they gel?

Reports suggest the only issue is agreeing a fee. We can sympathise with the 'this is what We want' valuation approach. Hopefully it's a case of negotiation. Although I did see somewhere that they wanted Iverson on loan as part of the deal.

Off topic but I still can't comprehend how we've gone from Kasper to Ward. I know Kasper wasn't perfect but still?

If Soyuncu is out of contract in the summer and bound for Atletico, doesn't it make sense to agree to sell him to them now and give us the cash to up the offer for Souttar or Tete?

I think it’s a case of Atletico moving someone on before they get Soyuncu in. It’s very frustrating having players like Soyuncu, Perez, Vestegaard and Tielemans to an extent, knocking around the club who have no long term future. In an ideal world we would sell them asap which would give us a bit more cash to bring in much needed new faces. Every day ticking by just makes it harder to bring these new players in.

Tete is in and Souttar was not in the Stoke squad again today. Any news on that one? I see the offer for Harrison is a mere £15 million short of Leeds' valuation. What's £15 million between friends?

I'm hoping both might be at the 'let's meet in the middle' territory of the negotiations. Definitely don't blame clubs for holding out for their valuation. We'll be doing it for any of our players.

Souttar not in today's squad due to a hip injury and any move unlikely, according to Neil.

I still wouldn't rule it out. We've seen players have mystery injuries in the transfer window before.

Souttar set for medial according to John Percy.
And talks continue for Harrison. Dependence on them getting someone in there, I believe.
Could be an unusually busy deadline day :)
Reports yesterday of Vestergaard off to Germany. :emoticon-0128-hi:

Apparently Souttar had a serious knee injury before the world cup. Hope that and his current hip problem don't scupper the deal or we'll end up with Evans mark 2.

We agreed a loan deal with Hertha Berlin for Vestergaard but, as he did in the summer, he has declined to accept.

A deal for Harrison looks unlikely now.

Respect Marc's decision to want to play more. He's definitely earned the right to make his choice. Absolute diamond for us over the years. Sentimentaly, very sad to see him go. Also, surprised it was agreed, as we've let Perez go too.
    Go well Kevin!

7/10 window for me. Delighted with the signings, just in the positions we most needed, plus one for the future in Opoku. Slightly bemused by Kevins move along with Foxy as Perez had already been announced. With most teams going on a spending spree the board had to back Rodgers and thankfully they have. If we can get Ricky P and Evans back then the squad is looking good for the second half of the season.
