I'm halfway through the 3rd season of Breaking Bad; started off really well but my interest is waning rapidly and has been for a few episodes.

Apart from Walter Gustavo and Hank the characters are wooden undeveloped and irritating, and even the 3 I mentioned have run out of steam. There is little or no plot and most ideas are dropped before they develop. Feels like a pilot that surprised the makers by its success and they're literally making it up on the hoof as they go along. Not sure if I'll watch anymore of it, though I probably will.

I keep watching Sons of Anarchy, but I've no idea why. The plot is terrible (almost cultist fawning over a motorcycle club), the acting is terrible, the Irish accents are horrendous and the main character only ever has one look on this face.

I watched the first episode last night (six-years late, yes) and found it quite entertaining. I've got episodes two, three and four loading as I write.

Does it end up as ****e as GC says?

I wouldn't say ****e but like anything this length I think it has the likelihood of drifting a bit,and it does. Was good though overall.

    Breaking Bad...

Starts if excellent, goes into a lull, then gets better...ends excellent.

Problem with American tv is the series length...13 episodes ! Ends up too stretched. 8 to 10 would do.

Mad men...excellent. but again, too stretched out at times. But it has Christina Hendricks in it...worth watching for her alone.

    This isn't true.

It seems like it's going to end brilliantly in the last few episodes but it doesn't deliver on the finale. Anti-climatic I would say.

Great series though, it has to be said.

Just finished The Wire, which is really good, and away to start Game of Thrones..
