I don't want to see any punishment that affects the players and fans. It's not their fault, they have done **** all wrong, so they shouldn't bear any punishment.

It's the owners who need hauling over the coals here. I don't know how you could administer it, but the owners personally should be fined for this, but that won't happen.

As @Geordieginola says, the next best thing is to introduce legislation to ensure that this doesn't happen again

I'd also like to see the rules changed on ownership, so that a mandatory % of club shares are owned by fans, and that they have a rep on the board.

This is my issue with things like ‘introduce legislation’

The PL is dishonest...that’s why we end up with Oligarch’s who have blood on their hands and journalist murdering sheiks sniffing around to purchase the Toon

football is corrupt as ****...these idiots are so corrupt their refs cheat during games.

I don’t trust the PL chiefs

Ban the teams from Europe and England will be a laughing stock as the West Ham and Wolves try to get past the qualifying stages of the Europa and Everton get tonked by FC Brugge in the 3rd qualifying round of the CL

You can Chuck about 10 teams out of the league and Toon still wouldn’t qualify

They’ll slurp this up.

See if Joel tries something like that, he’ll get crucified.
That was a lame apology and only to the Liverpool custodianship. It should be to European football.

At least he apologised I suppose.

All you guise chilling on Moral hill need to up your game a bit with all this Toon takeover talk...that there is an example of how the money monsters slip into the system...let’s hope your beloved PL owners nip that in the bud.

Yet if I was a betting man I’d happily bet my house that you’d all be cheering them on because another no mark club has got lucky and made success difficult for the nearly teams at the top like Spurs, Arsenal and Pool to some massive extent.

but nothing will happen...you guise can’t even handle one cabbage in the name of Munse single handedly goading you all with the reality that some dodgy **** is trying to buy them out and push your clubs further down the pecking order.

There's not a lot of difference between 7th and 15th place, both just treading water.

We need the German model, not for there big clubs being 50 % fan owned I believe this might still have happened.

Not getting Bayern, dortmund, psg, porto and leipzig was a blow to them

I don't trust the PL chiefs either. Boris was ready to drop a 'legislative bomb' yesterday to stop the ESL, so it shows that Govt can step in if needed.

The whole Fit and Proper test clearly doesn't work, because like you say, you've got all sort of shady ****ers in control running the clubs.

The Govt need to work with the FA and PL to set out a framework that protects the national leagues, ensures that money flows down to the grass roots and that ownership of clubs must include a % of fan shares. And most importantly that fans are represented at board level.

Dunno what you lot have got at Spurs, but Arsenal have a very well functioning AST that should be represented at board level. Kronke's power grab saw that he snatched up the last of AST shares. My view is that it should be Govt legislation that a % of shares should be made available for fan ownership.

Probably shows who was giving the biggest bung to the Tory Party as well, as of yesterday.

The flow of money isn’t the issue for me. It’s how that money is spent. How the clubs are ran.

The clubs that generate the money (commercial external revenue) are in the main the premier league teams and mainly the so called top 6.

However the pyramid allows them to be at the top. So it is fair to distribute “some” of the income. The competition rules that the fans have spoken for mean that any club can, if ran well, get to the top.

However FFP was basically a sham. It was manipulated to ensure the clubs with money can spend that money.

I do however think that it’s only fair that the clubs that have their **** in order can spend what they want.

It’s a big problem mind.
