Yeah sorry mate, I suppose a lot of Prem supporters might not know. It caused uproar when they brought forward the idea of B Teams, it got a clear reaction, fook off. So part of what we see going on now, relates to some of that, that we wouldn't let the big clubs have their own way. Our view was if you have players you want to loan out, then we'll be happy to engage that, but no way are we letting you set up B Teams in the lower leagues. I'd rather watch National League teams get merged in, than the Prem forcing their excess player squads on us. That's why I always laugh when Prem teams cry about playing too many matches.

It was a proper **** house move from them and thankfully you told them to **** right off..

I'm interested to see how it affects the players in the run in, I think it's improved our chances.

Honestly I hope Leicester and West ham make it.. I'm not arsed about my bet worth @FosseFilberto

I'm now a supporter of any club playing these 6 clubs and I feel sad for their fans who are doing themselves and the history of their great clubs proud with their response to this.

I know they're rich over paid ****s, but I feel a bit sorry for the players of these clubs, they'll be contractually obliged to play and be made pariahs.
I'm hoping knowing that ****s their run in up.

Listened to a guy from the Arsenal fans group on TS in the car earlier. He’d been at the meeting today with Johnson. The Govt stance is that they’ll back the FA / PL to stop the 6 participating in this league by legal means, but said that competition law and Sport can produce unpredictable outcomes in Court battles, but if the ‘right result wasn’t achieved in court’ then they’d legislate to stop it.

If I was Levy or Mansour I’d be jibbing it off now whilst they can still save some face, as this is going to get extremely ugly if they plough on with it. The Sherman’s undoubtedly will, as they’re Sherman’s, but it’s doomed imo.

The sides left in European competition would be well advised to turn turtle before Friday as well, as that’s when UEFA are likely to vote to boot them out of this season’s comps.

They won’t necessarily be contractually obliged to play, their contract could include CL incentives and by willingly removing themselves from the competition the clubs could be breaching contracts. The issue is, nobody outside the ‘big 6’ is gonna pay United/City/Chelsea level salaries so most will just stay shtum I’d imagine.

A few things I think could be done to block the ESL(I'm not a lawyer btw but will say anyway)

1.only give Visa's for domestic league and competitons recognized by the goverment (not ESL) for example people coming to UK and student visa's can only work 25 hours in some cases so I don't see how something can't be done here

2. Apply some sort of ban on ESL being broadcast in the UK.

3. Find a way to nationalize the football clubs and bring them into fan ownership similar to Bundesliga ( would be expensive and I don't know how it would work tbh)

I think this is more hope then me thinking actually

@FosseFilberto how would you feel about winning the league by default when City & United get drubbed by the PL?
It’d be hollow imo, and it’s not what any genuine fan wants. We don’t want to see the RS, United and City leaving the league, but equally it’ll ultimately be their owners choice, and everybody needs to remember that. Not that I think it’s gonna happen now anyway. Perez today ffs, what a ****ing dickhead that man is, heritage fans and youngsters who he thinks have the attention span of a goldfish. Just get in the bin you Galactico gobbling old twat.

I don’t think they’ll boot them out tbh, two wrongs don’t make a right where the fans are concerned, but I’d bet my last quid they’ll agree to suspend all payments due to the 12 clubs.

yeah, I said something similar when I first heard, I certainly wouldn't say no to getting Lingard on a free, I'd take Rashford and Greenwood too, but I imagine the contracts has been thoroughly checked by the clubs so this doesn't mean them losing their major assets for free. If they do get kicked out are you gonna be Salford or FC United of Manchester?

Did you read their statement?

You’re talking about a club who spent 2 years consulting with fans and the local community about our stadium move and the legacy project for Goodison.

A club that is embedded in the community with the largest community charity project in the country that sits alongside it.

I firmly believe that there’s no way on Earth that the club would have done what the 6 have done i.e. not even consult with their own managers and staff about their plans to completely **** on the football pyramid, and completely ignore their own fans. Our club goals have been clear, to sort the ground move and then progress on the pitch to a level where we could attain European football. If you want to believe otherwise then that’s up to you.

So the first bit is irrelevant and the second, just your opinion. Yet again, I’ve made the slightest of challenges and you’ve started to get defensive.

I think they’ll give them a choice mate tbh, stay with us or **** off. Your call lads.

There was a call in the Lords this afternoon for each of the 6 to be hit with a windfall tax to the full value of their initial SL payment lol. They really have ****ed up here like, go Joel, you spoon faced **** spanner <laugh>

I merely answered your post <doh>

I’ll probably just stop watching football tbh, it’s bad enough now with all the fannies on the pitch and cancerous owners, there’s no chance I’ll step foot in OT again until the Glazers either die or sell up. I’m hoping for a U-turn and a terminal illness for Joel Glazer rn as a best case scenario.
