Makes sense. Smart by Jose if true. It'll look like he protested against the Super League and he still gets his severance payouts.
Wouldn't disagree at all. The furlough fiasco proves beyond doubt just how detached FSG are from their own fans. That and the fact that even though they got the club in 2010 at half price in a distressed sale, supposedly because they had the £200m funds in place to build a new stadium, they dragged their heels for over six years before building a stand (that they actually billed the football club itself for), and have prevaricated over extending the Anfield Rd End because of the 'Yield' it would bring - even though they know it would be filled each matchday. Yet their asset has increased tenfold since they bought it.
Truth is, the fans just represent a chorus of extras and flags to sell to a worldwide TV audience. And so, ever-increasingly it seems, do the players. What is funny though is Sky's indignation - this is the inevitable conclusion of your product chaps. Football wasn't invented in 1992 - that's when it died and went to purgatory. Hell awaits.

I'd rather this didn't happen but I'm not going to go overboard with my reaction. If there's two games on a Wednesday night and one of them is Palace v Southampton and the other is Barca v Man Utd, I'm tuning into the latter.

I'd do the same in his position. Squeeze that **** Levy for her penny he's owed. He's won more as a manager than Spurs in their entire history. A CL at Porto is his most impressive achievement.
This is nothing like the formation of the Premier League though.
Well its intent is the same, the top clubs want to make more money, but the Premier League was different in that ANY club in the English football league can win entry in to the Premier league through merit, through success on the field, getting promoted.
So if they worked hard, invested right, and managed themselves well, they could get in on the PL.
This is different in that it is a closed off club. The clubs involved havent won entry in to this Super league on Merit, they are essentially a bunch of clubs who have decided they want in on a never ending gravy train and **** everybody else.

As of this moment I would love to see any club refuse to play their fixtures against the 'big 6'. Particularly clubs like West Ham & Leicester. I mean why should they bother playing them? They could beat the 7-0 but it will make no difference because they would be leap frogged into Europe.

and even if UEFA European contests continue, they wont be worth **** all, because all of the Big TV revenue will be going to this so called "Super League".
The prestige and financial rewards for competing in and winning UEFA European contests is non existent now.
I hope Chelsea beat Real Madrid, get to the CL final, and lose 12-0 to PSG.
I honestly hope PSG win it, they are the only ones who deserve to.
In fact, **** it, if I was UEFA I would call it now. Chelsea, Real and City have withdrawn from the ECA, so I would just award PSG the winners right now by default.
Also, boot Arsenal and United from the Europa League and have Villareal and Roma contest the final
PSG blatantly haven’t announced their participation for exactly that reason, they are scared they’ll be kicked out of the Champs League. As soon as it’s over they’ll sign up.
The only big teams who won’t are the German ones who are fan owned, I noticed Bayern haven’t made a statement of being the only monster team who turned it down. Cynical me is thinking they are waiting to see how it plays out in case they ultimately do want in

Yup. I mean, why not? All 12 clubs involved have told UEFA to **** themselves. Why give them the satisfaction of finishing their last ever CL/Europa League campaigns?
20 points deduction in the Prem for the 'big six' would be nice as well. Let West Ham and Leicester fight for the title.
Oh aye. There will be a core of teams at the centre but as the years go by certain others will be invited, lets say, for example, clubs like a Saudi owned Newcastle, leaving fewer slots available on merit. Russia will obviously want to be represented. 'Oh I see Zurich Grasshoppers have been taken over by an Arab with unlimited funds. Let them join!'
Good idea,Arsenal and Spurs in a relegation scrap and Newcastle might make the Europa.
Of course there are other clubs who are waiting to see how it goes before they declare their interest.
The German clubs wont ever get in unless the fans do a 180, because German clubs are majority fan owned.
But clubs like PSG and Zenit St Petersburg will be looking to see which way the wind blows.
Hopefully real fans vote with their feet ... part of the joy with the Prem is the bragging rights at work and amongst social circles when things go well ... that ain't gonna be nearly as good when diluted down to armchair fans in different counties ...
I would honestly watch a blood and thunder Prem game between lesser lights who have had to earn their place at the top table rather than any two of these soul sacrificers in a closed shop league built on nowt but relative wealth and greed ...
Think there will be a lot of genuine fans that feel the same ...
I'd urge fan groups of those clubs to set up ballots on whether they are in favour and throw them in the faces of the greedy ****s running those clubs ...
Barca and Real fans could push for no confidence votes in their respective Chairmen as an opener ...

I’ve been thinking about this and I don’t appreciate the friendly advice of go and support your local dogshit Sunday league team or a lower league team if you’re a proper fan.
Maybe the proper fan is someone who is willing to sink with his team...maybe like me. If we die, we die...however if we move to a different structure...maybe I have to move with them.

I can understand Man City, Man U. turning their noses up at us. You could argue (wrongly) that their position earned them the right
