Having seen him interviewed on a good few occasions. If, by any chance, he did score for us against you, there's no way he'd celebrate.
Fair play Archers.. I'm convinced. Can we add the 5-1 win in Munich during qualifying? That win over the Dutch... wow, just wow.
Ive lost all enthusiasm for the world cup. But i imagineer I will still feel some pridel watching him play. I didnt watching lallana though, odd seeing as hes our player.
Rickie faces the biggest challenge of his career next season, breaking into a successful Champion's League team on a regular basis, but I'm backing him to do it, after all he has come through with every single step up throughout his career with flying colours.
I can't see him being much more than an impact sub. He hasn't the pace to keep up with those Liverpool counter attacks.
They will need to rotate there strikers so he will get starts. Anyway to me Rickie is just on loan at Liverpool
Sorry Beefy I know this has been discussed just about everywhere on the forum but as you've just referred to it, why is Lallana now labelled a dick?
I like to think we are loaning the Scouse our prize asset and that they are kindly paying for the priviledge!
Great strike for Lambert, however it felt the team didnt play to support Lambert. It was more of an opportunity for every player to prove themselves to play in the starting 11. Im sure Lambert will get much more support in a Red shirt. He played better than Rooney did in the 2 games.
You are correct. He does however possess the vision and passing ability to spark those pacey counter attacks. As for the Impact Sub, yes maybe, but what an impact sub to have.
Lambert was the most intelligent player on the pitch this evening. Every time he passed the ball he was progressing the play. Making space, moving the ball. He's going to have a heck of a coaching career when he finishes playing, if he wants to. So underrated still.
I had a look at the Liverpool board transfer rumour thread yesterday, just to catch up with the Rickie revelation. It's clear that 99% of them have no idea what a gem they have just purchased. Hopefully last night's game might help them appreciate him a bit more.
I spotted that last week. They really do not know who or what they are getting. As I said to the chap that drifted over here, I bet he's back by Christmas telling us 4m was a steal.
I think so too. And i agree with you ref the Sherringham analogy - i have always thought Rickie Lambert is a very similar player to Teddie Sherrigham. Both intelligent footballers who dont have nor reply on speed. I was the only English fan working with a load of Dutchmen in the Persian Gulf when England thrashed Holland at Euro 96 - an amazing experience watching the game with them ! You can just imagine Rickie playing in that game as Shearers sidekick.
