Bravo Marveaux

I'd give Marveaux another go against Fulham. He did well and showed us something for the first time. Obviously it was easier against 10 with the space it created but he still might build on it. I must admit I'd given up hope, he looked weak and faint hearted. I still think he has a fair old way to go but it was promising.

I don't think we played 442 last night, there was a distinct change in formation with Cisse asked to play wide right a lot of the time. Much more like last season (although it was Demba going left then because Benni was there). Cisse had a very good 60mins and him and Ba just pressed a lot more. You defend and get the ball back from the front, I think they have clicked on to that now.

 

I think we changed to a 4-3-3 to get more men in the middle with Wigan playing an ambitious 3-4-3. Wouldnt suprise me if like others have said, he'll be stubborn and we'll go right back to the 4-4-2 with restricted middle play and alot of long balls over to whoever the top two are. I hope im wrong and Pardew goes with what clearly suits us better with the players we have.

 

Pardew sidn't even give him a mention so I expect he'll drop him for Sunday, however we al know Jonas should be dropped and Ben Arfa in for him and that is all he should change.
