I thought that had been changed to if the winner is already in europe due to league position then they open up a lower league position and if you finish in that position you get into europe. Very poorly phrased hopefully you'll understand what I meant.
I know this is a bit different as its a cup tie but looking at the Villa team it wont be that different when we line up on Saturday... we really should be looking to win.
Either that's a wonderful bit of forced perspective with Wells standing beside Duke, or Wells is 3'6".
Just been on avillafan.com and they are pretty much universally calling for Lamberts head. Their confidence ahead of Saturdays game isn't looking so hot, with expressions such as "if Southampton can't beat this lot they deserve to go down". Sweet.
They're not going to be this bad. They were obviously a bit complacent and after the thrashing we gave them last time they won't underestimate us. It's still encouraging though!
Got to smash into their back four from the kickoff, get an early goal, home crowd turns against them big-time.
We like teams to play open football as it helps us...a poor team play open football even better. Have to say though that Villa did have chances so nothing certain. Can we play them tomorrow?
I've seen the game a few times on Saints Player, and the guys are quite right. Benteke was very impressive in that match, as both supplier to Bent and striker himself. In fact, he was the only Villa player to come out of it with any real credit. He has subsequently been Villa's best player in numerous games. EDIT: Btw, chuffed for Bradford. Not because it was Villa, but that a League Two side beat a Premier League side.
