I really wouldn't bet on it Olof. Who's left to prepare the team for Saturday? Like I've said previously, the next appointment is critical. Cellino might just get away with a wasted month with the hock but if we get another duck, we could be in real trouble
JDP @jpearce05 Follow So so so disappointed tonight- the boys gave everything. 10:49 PM - 27 Aug 2014 If that was EVERYTHING, you really are in trouble - and he's your captain
didn't see any Wally fans at their game last night, just Saints fans absolutely shocking Saints fans travelled up to Londonistan in their thousands and not one Wally fan in the ground
Loads of Leeds at Bradford but then for them this game meant everything never mind concentrate on your relegation dog fight
As you know Mighty We sell all our allocation of tickets wherever we go. you can't sellout at your Cup finals West Ham and Charlton, Southend etc or even at the Den come to think of it,
https://audioboo.fm/boos/2428411-post-match-reaction-leeds-united-david-hockaday-v-bradford Ah, so we were perfect tactically, put in a great shift, and had it not been for one irresponsible player .... Think I might have heard this somewhere before!
As you know Olof my team puts in a shift wherever we go which is lucky for me cos thats what i wanna see week in week out and if having a s**te team but a decent turnout means you are happy then we both have a result long may it continue for you
It was hardly a miss, the keeper completely took him down and it should've been a penalty. Not sure how that doesn't warrant a penalty, I thought the keeper wasn't allowed to just take someone's legs from beneath them especially when the ball is already past. Completely agree, all of us on this forum named the team we would start with and no one's looked anything like that. Clearly, we were always gonna play with some first team players as Hock wanted to save his job but to play old has beens that are no where near the first team and clearly aren't good enough to break into it just defies belief. This guy is just so clueless and this job is so far beyond his capabilities. Seriously? no way, I watched that game and was genuinely embarrassed through all of it.
I don't think that is what happened. I think Hockaday wanted to play a team more than strong enough to win to keep his job, also wanted to play some reserves so that he had an excuse if we did lose but didn't put any trust in the future footballers of the club to do the job as they are not "experienced" enough.
Not really, Bradford had plenty of opportunites to take the lead before we did but fluffed their lines. Just ones I can remember off the top of my head before we took the lead - The free header in the first half when McClean got away from Bianchi but he put it wide. - The cross into the area where our defence stood completely still and their right back ran past both Warnock and Cooper to get free space and put his volley horribly wide, any striker in the world would've put that in the back of the net. - When the ball rolled along our goal line after it had beaten Taylor, just didn't have quite enough to get in and Pearce cleared it away. Even then, they had a player free in the box and had he anticipated he would've easily scored. - The header that Hanson put wide and I'd expect a Leeds striker to at the very least hit the target but in all reality he should've scored. - Also the countless shots they had from outside and around our area, one was bound to go in eventually. They are the only ones I can remember right now, pretty sure there were more in the first half as well.
yes they did put in a shift but we cant win em all mukka so not to disappointed was decent opposition would have been gutted had we got outplayed by a **** club like Bradford reserves though but hey glad you had thousands there to watch it
If you're happy to get walloped by Southamptons youth team well, so be it mate. doesn't excuse you from not having any of your fans at home to watch them even try a little
